My husband is diabetic and I carry these in my purse for a quick way to keep blood sugar levels where they should be. Convenient and very effective.

I bought these as an easily concealable snack during workouts or other outdoor work, and they are just that. They can easily be stuffed in a pocket and still contain enough carbs to effectively treat a low blood sugar. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it is important to note that they are very well sealed; to the point they are extremely challenging to open. Low blood sugar, shaky fingers, sweaty hands, and glossy plastic packaging will make you seriously question your sanity, while simultaneously putting on a great show for those lucky enough to witness the event. I first discovered this while on a run in 90+ degree heat. As I felt some minor symptoms of low blood sugar coming on, I whipped out the convenient little package from my belt, and for 3 minutes, twisted my fingers in ways I simply cannot duplicate, determined to rip off the tiny little plastic tap at the top. I finally decided my teeth would be the only way I was going to get into this surprisingly durable piece of plastic. I bit the tab, then realized my hand was still too sweaty to effectively grasp the pouch. As I attempted to dry my hands, I paused to recognize that I, a fully grown man, was running down the street flapping his hands like a bird, with a little plastic pouch, grasped firmly in my teeth flinging back and forth like a dog with its chew toy. Thankfully, I did eventually break in to the impenetrable vault of fruit goo. Needless to say, it’s very durable, and will not burst in your pocket. A fair warning, though, the experience may be something you’re able to list on your resume.

A literal lifesaver. My wife keeps pouches of this all over the house in case of emergency. One problem with it is that when her sugar drops fast she has a hard time opening the pouch, so we always have scissors nearby. If you have arthritis in your hands, getting it open can be challenging, so be aware.

Fruit flavors actually taste great! Work fast and reliably in case of a blood sugar crash.

nice but too expensive

I used these often before my pancreas transplant but all them years being a type 1 diabetic they were perfect for me fit in my purse could open them up no problem.
