sure, I've used in tight drains.. Is magnetic though and pincher is pretty strong if you fully release the button. Great tool to have handy as I've retrieved a few things since purchases. It's nice quality..

It holds a good amount claws or just the magnet itself holds up pretty good. Haven’t failed me yet and no complaints so far

It is not quite that flexible. It will not do a “u-turn” however some flexibility is there.
