Genuine Mazda (0000-92-A4A) Touch-Up Paint, True Red

The touchup paint delivered quickly from Morrie’s Mazda, albeit with a high shipping cost. Still, the extra charge is worth it, because it saves a trip to the dealer. The paint works well with the applicator, requiring careful application to avoid overuse. While the color match isn't perfect, it looks good from a distance, effectively covering nicks and prevents rust.

The color is a dark pink more than a dark red. Color does not even come close to matching. I actually shook the container for over 5 minutes to make sure it was mixed. Very disappointed!!!

I would have given this product 5 stars if it were a little easier to use. Pros: The tip is very narrow like a needle, which makes it great for small scratches. Also, the fact that it isn't brush ensures no bristles fall out and get stuck in the paint and no brush strokes. The paint is a perfect match and covered perfectly. My scratch was down to the metal. Cons: The problem I encountered was applying the right amount of pressure while squeezing the container. If you don't apply the correct amount of paint (ex: too much at once), it may look more orange. It took me a couple tries to get it right. Tips: Shake well. Practice on something other than your car until you get the hang of it.

Although the color is close to original the color is slightly brighter than the car paint. Easy to apply and dries fast.

People just have a hard time following directions I guess. First off, if you want the color to match you have the get the right match for your car. Those numbers mean something. Not all Mazda blacks are the same, not all Mazda whites are the same. I shook the stick for a while, popped the cap and went to work. People are complaining about the thin pen like tip, I actually think that is a good thing. It keeps you from releasing too much paint. I painted pin sized chips and I also filled in some bigger dent, even 1/8 inch down to the metal dings and a 3 inch long scrape. A+ product.

After following instructions, which by the way we’re only on the tube in very small type, I was unable to use. The paint seemed to be dried out and the color was way off. I shook the tube for not than the required minutes and the results were the same. After contacting the seller they just sent communication that I was not following instructions. No offer to replace at there expense. Don’t deal with these people Amazon doesn’t guarantee outside vendors.
