Works very well. Let set one hour or so then scraped off. Then covered again. Just brushed on with pain brush. I suggest after it sets a little, spray with Dawn Platinum Plus power wash. This helps dissolve paint, as well as makes tools super easy to clean. Then scrape that layer off and you are down to the wood. The product is very thick so I spread it the best I could.

I bought this for a home dyi project. Very impressed. I’m restoring the stairs myself. This works as advertised and it doesn’t take much to scrape it off and cleans up easy. Application is also easy. Be sure to use the plastic wrap or the product they have to maintain moisture. It recommends not letting it dry out or there will not be consistent results that are easy as this is intended to be. Good value for the money. Follow manufacturer instructions and you should have no issues. It has no smell, tho I kept my screen door open for ventilation. I have vaulted ceilings and that also probably helps.

This stuff is great. I’m using it to remove paint from my brick fireplace. It’s thick, so the vertical surface is no problem, and it’s removed the paint from my bricks with no damage to the brick or grout. On the downside, it does have a bit of a lingering unpleasant smell that will last a couple days, and even letting it sit for 24 hours only took off one layer of the paint (my fireplace had been painted twice by previous owners, one orange, one taupe) It may be just because they were thick layers of latex paint, but minus a star for me to have to reapply a second time. A little does not go a long way, buy more than you think you need. A tip, cover it with plastic sheeting and let it sit 24 hours before scraping or scrubbing it off. Our whole family has personalized 48 ounce Yeti Rambler drink cups which we love. However, we don't treat them gently, we throw them in the dishwasher, and over time the paint has started to chip and peel. Their insulative functionality is still perfect, but the flaking/chipping paint was becoming annoying and I wanted a way to remove the paint easily, as home, without a lot of work and/or toxic chemicals. I found recommendations for using this type of paint removal gel and gave it a try. It worked *great*. The gel is thick, sticks well, and makes the paint relatively easy to scrap of with a plastic scraper. I did have to apply it a couple of times as my coverage was spotty, and the uncovered spots didn't scrape off and needed another coating. Note that I applied the gel, then left the cup in the (stainless) kitchen sink for 3-4 hours, then used the EHDIS 1.5" Plastic Razor Scraper to scrape off the loosened paint. I've got two more cups to do, but the first one came out clean as a whistle. Now I'm looking for a local source to engrave/etch some kind of customizing marks into the stainless steel to allow us to differentiate our cups! Highly recommended.

product was a mess when i opened the box cap was not on and the bottle was not sealed. perhaps this was just a mistake that i’ve encountered. very disappointing. when i used the actual product is didn’t do anything. like other reviewers said, it did not lift any paint at all i ended up throwing on my project and just ordering a new shelf. what a mess. i also threw out this paint remover. thankfully due to the poor shipping i was refunded. For some reason my first review didn’t fit community guidelines so we’re trying again. i would hate to see someone spend $40 for a product that doesn’t work. i have used other paint removers that work much better

This purchase was used to remove paint off of outside pillars. It works amazing for what I assume would be newer, modern paint... as for old layers underneath, maybe a different type of paint, it does nothing. It is quite frustrating to see it work so quick and well on exterior layers and not on lower layers even with reapplication. This product does not work well on all types of paint. I also don't beleive it could cut through 15 layers. Sadly disappointed with the advertisement as it seems inaccurate. I do have to add that the paint it did work on, removes easily. It has low odor to no odor and applies easily. Make sure to be generous when applying and cover with plastic wrap or it dries out too quickly.

I was shocked this worked so well. Took varnish off on table and 5 layers of paint off 2 window frames no problem, without the strong chemical smell of other products. It is a thick liquid, so stays in place more easily. Read the directions to use as there are a few important ones (needs to be kept wet to work, so put parchment paper on top) but super easy and effective.

If I could give this stuff 10 stars, I would. There is absolutely little to NO smell! So very easy to use. No dripping. Its thick like pudding! Brush it on, wait ( I waited overnight). Then I used a putty knife and it came off in ribbons! This was a total game changer when I refurbished a coffee table!

Don’t waste your money, there are other products as good which are a fraction of the price. This price is outrageous
