My teenage daughter loves these markers. She borrowed some from a friend and was hooked. I have purchased these for the past three years for a stocking stuffer for my daughter. She loves the bold/bright colors and the way they feel when she writes with them. They come in SO many color options. They are her favorite. She has also purchased them as gifts for her friends.

I'd been watch for a sale/price drop for a while and finally snagged three different sets of these. People who use brush pens regularly seem to regard Tombow brush pens as the best, so I bought a small set to start with to see what they hype was about, and then I watched for a sale on Amazon and bought three more color sets. They are beautiful and a delight to use, but note that there is a learning curve to using brush pens and getting the kind of coverage and blending you want. I didn't buy them for lettering, which is what most folks use them for, I think. I just wanted to doodle and color while watching TV.

I love these Tombow markers. I used them in my dotted planner and needed a thicker marker that would not ghost through to the other page. Even though my planner has thick bleed proof 160gsm pages, I find that when drawing grids that most markers do, even the ones who state no ghosting. I would expect that on notebook paper or cheap journal pages, but not 160gsm paper. The colors are nice and I like that I can used them for both drawing gridlines with a nice close to 1.0 line and for artistic flourishes and if feeling it, using them like watercolors. The only negative I have is the intensity. I understand that it's water based, but it would have been nice if I could have a standard bright green or red or what I was looking for was a true olive green. So think of these markers as retro markers as far as brightness or intensity. Every so often though you do see something that really pops, but most don't. I would have liked that same intensity in some of the other colors. I ordered 3 different varieties carefully watching the color numbers and was happy that there was only one duplicate of a green marker. Unfortunately I didn't match the color numbers against the package when I received them. Somehow when I started to write down the numbers I had in order not to duplicate them on my shopping trip to the art store where I planned to buy some singles, I realized that I actually had 3 of the same green color number and 2 of a different one. So, just pay attention and match what you receive to what you ordered.

These are my favorite water based markers. Colors are as expected, they don't bleed through ordinary paper unless you apply multiple coats, and the brush end is easy to use, whether you want it to be precise or sweeping. I've now purchased several sets. My artist adult daughter agrees. We love these markers!

Just what I wanted!

The colors blend very well and are extremely easy to use. I randomly picked this up for my young kids and for me. They definitely beat my expectations. I don’t consider myself an artist but these markers made me seem like one!
