Such a great product! I work from home a lot and my office is on the otherside of the house from our router. My company uses a VPN which greatly affects the wifi signal and my computer was constantly losing connection. After setting this wifi extender up, I haven't had any connection issues. It was really easy to set up and took less than 10 minutes. The directions are easy to follow and understand. Have had it set up for a few days and so far, it has been amazing! It creates it's own wifi signal that is just an extension of the orginal wifi signal and my computer has no issues connecting to it automatically. If you're having wifi connection issues, definitely give this a try! Super budget friendly and works great!

I am extremely happy with this TP-Link WiFi extender. This WiFi extender has proven to be highly effective, particularly for areas distant from the primary router and for facilitating software updates on my Tesla. Previously, Tesla updates were time-consuming; however, with this device, downloads are now consistently efficient. Installation is straightforward, and it maintains a stable signal for streaming without overheating, even when positioned outdoors. Overall, it is a highly functional and valuable device. It has a consistent signal.

The basic instructions make the device function as a wifi repeater not as an extender. I.e. inputs wifi RF signal and repeats the RF signal, boosting the signal strength but doubling the latency this may cause overall network speed to increase or decrease. I observed a decrease in the 2.4Ghz network speed but an increase in the 5.0Ghz network speed. To use as an extender you must change the mode to an access point, this will create a new wifi network but improve the signal strength at a marginal latency cost (wifi-ethernet-router). Quick setup instructions are provided but more advanced setup instructions are not and must be found online. Bottom line you should test both modes out in both frequency bands.

A quality product, good price & on time delivery. It is a good extender if you don't need it too far. I'm using mine to extend internet signal to an outside camera & it works pretty good. It really boosted the signal throughout the house. We haven't had any issues since we plugged it in. It was super easy to set up and install, and adding devices to its network was a breeze. The Wi-Fi from the extender has been solid, no problems at all.

As the title suggests, this WiFi extender works exactly as advertised. I purchased it for my parents to use in their home, as the WiFi can be spotty in places. Once activated, the device was placed in their basement and works like a charm, providing my parents with extended access to the Internet. In my experience, the device scores high in the areas of consistency and range (for use in a larger home).

Setting up the extender is a breeze, and the reception has improved notably. I really like the one-mesh technology, eliminating the need to change networks at home.

This works really well and was very easy to setup. I needed to use mine as an access point vs a repeated/extender which wasn't covered in the Quick Start manual but the online full user guide explained it well enough. All of the changes for anything can be done via the Tether app. Plugged it in to a power socket, let it boot up, installed the Tether app which detected it and joined me to it's initial wifi network so I could continue the setup of the device. You get walked through every step nicely! In my case after configuring it I went into the "More" menu bottom right of the app, and changed the "Operational Mode" to an access point, and then setup the wifi networks I wanted from there. I did not need to extend or mesh my current SSID so I'm happy enough to use a unique network name here, it all works nicely routing wise. I then plugged this in at my remote spot of the house, and using a long ethernet cable (unique for the access point mode) I plugged that in, and now I have a super solid strong wifi signal for my security cameras and other doodads that previously struggled with signal. It's been reliable, no drops or issues, it's in a cold garage atm we'll see how it handles the heat of summer though! Speeds are not mind blowing, getting about 100MB/s throughput over it's wifi networks, but all I need for sure. One downside was the side of the thing prevents using on a wide splitter, like the antenna on the side block the next socket over if you're got a 3x2 socket plug/extender or anything going on. Works great on a long power bar though! Very happy with this for the price point, and the clarity of the instructions/app.

Very happy with my purchase. What i like about this wifi extender is that you can change the passwords within the Tether app, something you cant do with the cheaper models. Would buy again if required
