Work great and can't beat the price.
They open large enough to cut a 200 amp SEU cable with no problem. Well worth the money when you compare name brand cutters at almost $200

$300 Quality for $60
I bought a pair of these 6 months ago when I took a job installing residential generators. I have used these cutters daily to cut 4/0 SER and SEU, and it continues to cut anything I throw at it with ease. There's no wear to speak of on the cutting edges and the ratcheting action still works great. These are just as good as the Greenlee cutters you'll get at a supply house for triple the price. I recommend them to everyone I work with, do yourself a favor and pick these up if you're doing any work with big cables.

The real deal!
I first bought the $27 variety. They nicked on first cut of copper/aluminum telephone cable. I then bought these, tested them on the same wire. No nicked blades here.

Good for those with carpal tunnel
My dad was excited to get this for Christmas because he had carpal tunnel surgery but still wanted to help my cousin with the electrical in his new house. The ratchet enabled him to cut what he needed to without hurting his hands. But as far as durability and what not I’m not sure. I wasn’t the user.

Nice ratcheting cable cutters, $55 is worth $200.

These cutters are JUNK!
These cutters looked great & were very decently priced. Over the course of 2 months I used them around a dozen times. First the axle pin for the ratcheting arm fell out. Not completely out but far enough the tool wouldn't ratchet half way through the cut. Had to finagle them loose off the cable. This caused me to have to keep an eye on the pin not falling out. Just used them in 25 Degree weather on a piece of #2 Aluminium Cable and the ratcheting arm broke in half on the first use. Again, I only used these cutters about 12 times in total. Now they're garbage and not usable. I can't even find a solid number or e-mail contact to call about replacement. Don't waste your MONEY!
