Great Product, just make sure select the correct companion switch
This is a great product that is NOT available in local stores. DIY makeshift electricians need to know this is a companion switch to the WiFi Leviton dimmer. It will work in any 3way or 4way wired circuit, but will need a wired common wire in the primary location for the primary dimmer. Old homes may not be wired with a common. Read the compatibility list on the primary dimmer before ordering. There are 2-3 variations of this companion switch. I have over 10 3way or 4way circuits in my home. I have made this mistake once in reordering. I will not do it again. The wiring diagrams are okay, if you know more than then the fundamentals of house wiring. I needed a wire tracer for one of my 4way circuits. Also these are not standard STDP switches. If you don't know what that means, hire an electrician!

Instant response ... just make sure you have both traveler wire + neutral at each box
Focusing on this device only, it gets 5 stars. but... The current and well documented memory flaw in the main zwave dimmers cascades to this device to where after an automation command, the dimmer doesn't remember it's last level when manually commanded on. See my review on the dimmer for video demonstrating this. If you try to turn on from companion, that same limitation kicks in and it's confusing annoying (and actually feels worse to me). Let's assume a firmware fix might be coming and focus on companion functionality only... in that case, these are great. I can see the dim level strip follow in sync with the main dimmer across the room as commanded from automation (Home Assistant / Alexa) as with the on/off indicator LED. On/Off/Fade commands are instantaneous over the traveler/data line. Now i come from a 2008 install of their legacy Vizia (non + version) line... More on that in my dimmer review, but main thing is that these require a traveler wire and neutral instead of using the Vizia's approach direct Z-wave association which allowed virtual 3-way configuration w/o a 3+ground romex run to the main dimmer. I have 3 out of 9 locations in my house (kitchen/living/dining) where 3+G wasn't run and thus hard wire is not possible but the Vizia line's virtual association masked it for last ~20 years.. Two of those were the electrician sub's laziness/miss in 1995 when my house was built, one was due to kitchen remodel and my lack of foresight that i might want 3-way not only for the main can lights but also the LEDs in the cabinets. I can run supplemental romex to fix, but with a two story house, this will not be fun, and the living room (exterior block wall) would require significant drywall repairs to do so. Still debating that one. I could use a scene controller but Leviton no longer makes them (i had (6) 4-button scene controllers in the Vizia setup - still trying to use the 3 that haven't failed in part for addressing this issue but they won't last forever). TBD.... I say all this to warn you, just because you see a red wire in your box , doesn't mean you can use this. Prime example: my house was set up "half-hot" in living room so you could put table lamps on a 3-way switch. But they ran 2+G between the switch box and the outlets (even though 3+G is run between the two outlets and then also between the two switches). Effectively, the 2+G means only hot line and switched load wires exist in the switch boxes... no neutral. Anyways - i can't fault Leviton for going with the hard wire companion, my house should have been wired correctly and wasn't. It does what it's supposed to. It's fast/immediate, has the benefit of fewer Z-wave devices to register / monitor and less zwave traffic associations would require when not needed (ultimately this could reduce my z-wave load by 9 (~20-25%) devices if i fix the wiring.

Four-way worked perfectly
Was worried that it would not work in a four-way setup so I called Leviton, and they said it would work as long as I had a neutral and a traveler to all the switches. Worked great with no issues.

Works great with Apple HomeKit
I have multiples of these in my home, paired with Leviton smart dimmers (Gen 2). Those Gen 2 dimmers are all updated to Matter, and I use Apple HomeKit to mange them via the Home app. They work very fast, and I’ve had literally zero trouble since installing them in May of 2023. I highly recommend these as the basis of any smart home effort. I’m not kidding, Matter is F-A-S-T. They also worked with with HomeKit prior to installing the Matter firmware. I also have them controlled via my Samsung SmartThings fridge. The fridge is a secondary Matter controller, relying on my HomeKit hubs (AppleTVs, HomePods). This works flawlessly too. Sadly, Samsung hasn’t fully jumped on the Matter bandwagon insofar as my Samsung devices don’t show up in the Home app as they *ought* to.

Works, but LEDs don't match
Works like a charm. My only complaint is that the status LEDs aren't the same brightness as the main switches - the companion LEDs are significantly brighter. This is noticeable when they're next to each other in the same box, which is the case for me. With no way to change the brightness, I resorted to disable the status indicator in the main switch settings, which thankfully carries over to the companion. That works fine for my setup but may not for others.

Fits perfectly inside 3 and 4 gang boxes..
Several months ago I purchased smart switches for my two chandeliers, but they didn't fit inside the multi-gang boxes I had. I assumed that all smart switches must be the same, so I then tried using individual smart bulbs in the chandeliers. That didn't work either. The bulbs didn't sync correctly. Each light eventually came on, but sometimes seconds apart and other times had to be turned on from the app manually. So I once again started looking for a smart switch that could fit into my 3 and 4 gang boxes, which was the best option if they were available. These are exactly what I was hoping to find! One chandelier is a 3-way, each in 3-gang boxes, and the other was a single pole in a 4-gang box. My house is less than 4 years old, so I thought the wiring inside the boxes should be fairly easy work with...but it wasn't. I had to call the Leviton customer support several times for help. They were great! They said most non-electricians needed their help, and they were happy to walk us through the installation process. Part of my confusion was that I had so many wires inside each box....as many as 10 separately capped wires in one box, many with the same color wires that didn't mean the same thing. (whites that weren't neutral, blacks that weren't loads or hot, and reds that weren't travelers). But with their help, I finally figured out what the electrician had done and was able to install them myself. I'm very happy with the results! One more thing I'll mention is that one of the most difficult thing you'll have to do is get all the wires and caps back inside the boxes behind the large switches (all my switches are 3-ways, dimmers, and/or smart switches, so they are all very large) without breaking the switches or disconnecting any of the wires. So make sure all your connections are very tight and secure before pushing them back into the boxes. Just noticed in the picture that one plate was missing a screw...lol! Found it on the floor.

works well.

[1] Used for on/off floor lamp [2] Used for night stand lamp [3] Had this and Leviton IPF01-1LZ IllumaTech 1.5A Quiet Step Preset Fan Speed Control, but liked this one so much more I use this even in places I wanted a "dumb" fan speed controller. [4] Used for replacing toggle switches that don't need to be smart [5] Used for bathroom fan light hi/lo [6] Used for bathroom fan on/off [7] Used in laundry room, walk-in closets & pantry areas where these is no lights and your hands are likely full [8] Some house upgrades elimated the need to switches (they use hand help remotes), so for these instead of leaving a dummy switch in place that did nothing, I replaced when with these and their decora equivalent.

Title Wrong/Picture Correct - this is a DD00R-DLZ Companion Dimmer
As I write this review, the title for this product is incorrect and it was not searchable. I have provided feedback to Amazon. (it is NOT A DSL06-1LZ) THIS IS A DD00R-DLZ COMPANION DIMMER and it must be used in conjunction with a main Leviton Digital/Smart dimmer (see compatibility chart in item description). It works perfectly with a z-wave DZ6HD as the main digital dimmer. I have many DD00R companion dimmers installed in 3way and 4way applications and they have performed flawlessly for several years. I control the main DZ6HD dimmer with a Hubitat hub. I will update the review if the title changes and it becomes searchable.

Great product
This is a remote to the DW6HD Leviton Dimmer. This unit will not function without the DW6HD Leviton Dimmer. Once installed, they work like a charm. The only problem with these dimmers is that you need an internet connection to control them remotely. The commands from your phone do not go directly to the device, they go to the Leviton server that communicates with your device. Having these devices on your local network (home router) is a bit of a security concern, as hackers could have access to your computers via these devices. Leviton IoT is no different than Apple or Samsung IoT and most people have confidence in the devices built in security. Personally I recommend that you setup a seperate IoT network for these devices.
