We spend a lot of time planning our vacations and this (series of books) is where we begin. If I could only buy one book this would be the one. It has a lot of information on more than just ten things! We have this book for every city that it is available. I hope they keep making more of them. It is also the right size to keep in your bag while there--not too big, not too small--and the maps, hotels, and restaurants information come in really handy.

Light easy to carry and refer to while traveling, hits current top spots to visit so you can plan accordingly, worth the money. Delivered ahead of schedule.

So useful, so helpful,l and fits in your pocket - and you can take the maps out, if that's all you want to carry.

Just the basic facts and a good map. I don't want a lecture on the fine points of the city. Fits in back pocket. Photos are good and supplies enough info to help you decide what you want to see and do.

While I wish they had the in-depth version of "DK Eyewitness Travel AMSTERDAM" we loved using it while there...and use DK books almost exclusively while traveling. We find that MANY of the restaurants that are recommended are excellent and that the descriptions of the sites are to the T. One of the most important differences we see with the DK books are the METRO/BUS guides that are included and inserted in the pages as you are site-seeing. Very handy and most useful when you want to get somewhere quickly and efficiently.

These "Top 10" type guide books give the traveler a quick fix on the top things to see and do! They are great to read and easy to carry along.

I'm sure this book is valuable but I need a magnifying glass to read it! The text is so small and it would be impossible to get information quickly while traveling. The best feature is the fold-open map.

My travel agent recommended I purchase this book before my trip to Amsterdam. It was very informative providing me several recommendations for cafes, restaurants, sights, etc. I read this book cover to cover & will be taking it with me to Amsterdam as a reference guide. I highly recommend this book for any travelers going to Amsterdam.
