Alien Draft Seal Set of 49 Feet Anti-Draft Adhesive and Flexible Flap to Seal Gaps Around Doors and Windows As Seen On TV

I cannot recommend this product enough! The doors on our house are in need of replacement, there was a significant gap in some of the edges. I've tried peel and stick foam and rubber insulation and they all eventually fell off. I have had great success with Alien Tape, so I expected good results with this product and it delivered! There was enough for all 3 of our exterior doors. Since it's clear it didn't stand out. Insulated the doors well enough that you could not longer feel hot air coming in or cold air escaping. We have had this on our doors for nearly a year now and the product is holding up well, adhesive is strong and hasn't budged. This is a GREAT product!!

All of these types of products are flawed. I went with this one because it had the overall best ratings, and in reviewing the 1-star ratings - it all boils down to adhesion issues, which could be related to various things. This product's flexibility is oddly exceptional. If your seal isn't flexible enough, it won't work. This is like a perfect balance, and it appears (so far) to remain flexible. We haven't had the full 'cold' season yet, so I'll update this review. I'm 24 hrs into the installation, and it normalized the temperatures in my apartment. It doesn't adhere so well that it would strip off paint. (one of the catch-22s). I cleaned the surface around my metal door with alcohol (70%) as surface prep. If I owned this property, I would have primed the edge with a 'bonding primer', which would solve most of the adhesion issues I read about. Diana, my partner, talked me out of doing that. (laugh) The gaps in my door are ridiculous, and the managers didn't follow through with replacing/fixing the door in the spring, even after a reminder. It's 2023, and our world is what it is. It mounted easily and I think it will hold just fine. I decided to use blue-painter's tape (the Dollar Store variety), to add additional support/adhesion. I think that will work fine for the winter, and easily removable when we leave this apartment complex. It is aesthetically weird, but this is about function for us. The tape itself is clear and almost invisible, so I think it would work fine without the added reinforcement, and if the adhesion were to become a problem, the quality of the material reflects I'd be able to use another level of adhesion. I suspect this seal would provide years of service. If I had a wood door, or other type of material, looking at using some kind of primer that is appropriate for adhesion would be a consideration. Then again, if you have an expensive door, there should be a weather striping mechanism that makes this solution not needed. Regardless, I wish I would have thought of (or found this) years ago. I am very pleased with it, and I am certain it will serve the purpose. It has already proved itself in the first 24 hours. I would not have anticipated the level of impact it had on normalizing the temperatures/comfort in our living space. Not having this has probably cost us hundreds of dollars of heat/cooling expenses, not to mention the discomfort of dealing with a poorly sealed door situation. Highly recommend this brand, I would buy it again (it is on my list). The package comes with more than enough for two standard types of doors. I only have one door, so, I'll be ready for the future!!

This is a great handy product for an easy quick fix on door drafts or excessive light due to gaps between a door and a frame. My only complain is the lack of any color options. I'm sure you could paint the strip but having only clear, I wish it did come in white. There a lot of doors & frames that are white. So if you're not using this as not a draft blocker only but trying to block excess light, it doesn't work so well with it being clear. Light still seeps through the cracks between a door and a frame and can be really annoying. I haven't tried to paint it yet so I don't know how a quick white spray paint job will hold up on this but it's easy to apply, easy to peel off. Having said that it's a good idea to anchor top bottom and center of whatever strips you cut with some self-tapping screws into either the door or the frame itself depending on how you apply it because I'm sure the adhesive will fade over time. But in a pinch this product is great and roughly 2/3 of the cost of retail at a local hardware store.

Wow! I am impressed! Everything As Seen on TV, supposedly works perfect. And I was skeptical, I'm not going to lie. The temperature change with this tape on and off is like night and day. I had a very large gap in my front door especially at the bottom. I have tried everything and nothing was working. I was still feeling the freezing cold air coming through. But this alien tape, oh my goodness it is perfect!!! I can barely feel any air at all coming through now. With this teeny, tiny little "silicone flap." It is durable and the adhesive is very strong. Very easy to install & easy instructions. I was even able to cut around the flap to adjust it to my curtain.Rod hooks and it still works perfect. Excellent value for my money. I'm glad that I bought 3 rolls! And according to the instructions, it is reusable. So this will be like a lifetime supply for me! Hands down five stars!

I have bought so many boxes of this over the years. It is great, it adheres great installs easily and keeps the cold out. The material is easy to cut to fit where ever you need it. If you do an oops it will remove easily to fix. I highly recommend this product

It works great! Filled the gaps in the door, no more drafts, good insulation, helps keep insects from coming in too. Highly recommend

This stuff is legit. It sealed my attic door perfectly, and I didn’t clean any dust off prior. Sticking perfectly two weeks later. I used some for another attic door at my sister’s house and she said her house has been way cooler. Pretty cool stuff 5/5 for real. Will be using for any drafts in the future

It applies easily enough but there is not enough to do more than one door for the price I feel like you should get enough to to do 2 doors or more

Excellent product and easy to apply, the clear, flexible plastic gap covering piece is about 5/8”, so suitable for most gaps I would think! Comes in 3 mini bags within the box, and good for at least three doors. This coupled with strips applied on the edges of the door should make for a pretty solid, draft free combo.

Excellent Product. On some doors because of architrave round door had to stick tape bit further in on door too allow good gap coverage. Unknown if be able to remove and reuse as external door have natural oil coating to see wood grain. However initial use VERY SUCCESSFUL.

I cannot stress enough how much it stops the freezing cold draft from the outer door. I followed the directions religiously and cleaned the door with soap and water, then swabbed it down with rubbing alcohol. That tape stuck to the door and is still well stuck 3 months later. Our Propane bill (furnace) is down by 40%. It is shocking how much money drafty doors and windows can cost you.
