If You Own Cast Iron Grates, You Need It
I bought this as a sort of afterthought when I ordered a set of grates for my Weber kettle. I figured it would come in handy whenever I needed to add charcoal, but I didn’t put much thought into it beyond that. Turns out I use this thing quite a bit and it is very handy! If you have a Vortex especially, you’ll find yourself removing and replacing the center insert which this tool is absolutely necessary for. It’s a simple thing with no moving parts, but it’s well built and indispensable for cast iron grates.

Wish it was a little longer
Maybe good for grates that came with my Weber , but I purchased iron grates and could use the extra leverage. Still well made.
