Great product
I dislike clipping my dog's nails, but these make the job so quick and easy. These clippers are sharp, helping them cut quickly without squeezing the nails. The safety guard is helpful, but I still triple-check before cutting. My dog doesn't like being groomed, but she tolerates the process. The clippers didn't create any additional discomfort or make any noises that drew her attention to what I was actually doing. I recommend these clippers and would purchase them again.

Sharp nail clippers
These are great, sharp clippers and they fit nicely in my hands. They're furthest open position is sometimes a bit big in my hand though. The handle coverings recently started slipping like many people complain about, which I honestly don't quite understand why the company doesn't try to fix that issue. I think putting a little super glue in there then sliding them back on will keep them in place though I haven't yet tried it. The opening for the clippers doesn't fully open like most clippers so you do have to stick your dog's nail into the whole. Depending on your dog that may be a pain in the butt, it is for me some of the time. So I switch back and forth between these sharp clippers and the sharp clippers by diamond g with the bamboo handles as they fully open and I'm able to get into some smaller angles with them. These are a good price point so I'll be able to replace them when they start to dull to avoid any issues. If the locking mechanism flops around some, keep the lock side pointed down towards the floor so it doesn't cause issues and get in the way. Or you can simply use a piece of scotch tape and tape it into the unlock position for that trim session. Make sure you take the tape off and lock them back when you're done to avoid an accident or additional wear on the sharp blades.

Incredible price and Excellent product
My dog hates getting his nails clipped by me. Almost every nail clipper that I've gotten have pinched his nail slightly crushing before cutting through cleanly. Even ones marketed as high grade professional nail clippers have done this. I think the crushing is due to the fact that he has very soft nails With these cllippers, I think I can actually get my dog to be comfortable or at least less fussy about getting his nails clipped! I found tons of recommendations for the Millers forge brand of clippers, and even the vet and groomer recommended them. First, let me say that these required almost no effort to clip my dogs nails. I was able to get my dogs nails clipped in 15 minutes, which is the fastest I've ever been able to do this. He didn't once cry out in pain as if I were killing him, nor did he retract his paw as hard as he could from my grasp. I didn't have to do a sharp and quick cut to get these to close, as I have done with many other brands. Instead these just glided right through the nail, and were incredibly precise so that I was able to clip in small sections. It was almost like shaving off his nail just a little bit. Because the clippers clipped of his nail so cleanly I was able to see that the discarded nail anatomy - hard shell and a fleshy inside. The fleshy inside of his nail just crumbles when it falls out of the hard shell, and so I think this is why previous nail clippers were crushing his nail. Speaking from a physics perspective, I can see these clippers lasting quite a long time and remaining sharp. The design on the blade of the clipper is angled sharply into a thin blade (and it is a very sharp blade). The blades make no noise as they are closed and opened, though I can feel the blades brush against one another. The spring that opens the clippers also makes no noise, and I believe this is because they use a volute spring which I'm also not afraid of getting pinched by. The only issue with the clippers is that the red comfort grip covers slide off while I clip. This isn't a big deal though as they don't slide off much and it didn't make a difference in how the clippers performed. For people who are wondering if these are real Millers Forge Inc clippers, they are. Only the larger Miller's Forge nail clippers are made in Italy (specifically the 727C and 767C styled for larger dogs). I would only recommend these for medium to small dogs. All other Miller's forge nail clippers are made in other places -such as Japan and Taiwan. These 743C clipers are made in Taiwan, and do come with the Miller's Forge lifetime guarantee against manufacturing or worksmanship defects unless abused or left to rust (as stated on the back of the packaging).

Love them!
Love these nail clippers! They take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang out them, I love that I can cut little by little and round out the nails to not leave sharp edges, also, they don't seem to apply as much pressure as the big and bulky orange-handle clippers do. The only annoying thing is that the red rubber on the handles starts to slip off after using them a few times. It's easy to push them back in.

Made the old way - Quality
These are made the traditional Millers Forge way. Unfortunately, Millers Forge has cheapened their larger, orange-handled nail clippers and I had to return them. These, the smaller red-handled nail trimmers are strong, very sharp, rivet construction, tight tolerances - accurate and smooth cuts. Much easier and faster for my dog that has to suffer through nail clipping.

Finally, clippers my dog isn't afraid of!
My dog has immensely sensitive feet, I've worked very hard with him on cooperative care to get him to the point where I could trim even one nail at a time, but other clippers tend to catch, snag, or need a ton of pressure to clip, and it freaks him out again. These don't do that, they're basically silent, they cut through his (very strong, very sensitive) nails like butter, this is the first time in the time I've had him that I've been able to finish every single nail on even one paw in one session, and he let me do BOTH of his front paws all at once. They're very sharp! These clippers literally saved me from having to have my poor pup sedated to have his nails done for health reasons, which was going to be the next step if these didn't work. Thank you so much Miller's Forge! The handles are super comfortable too, I have smaller hands and a lot of cilppers are bulky and unwieldy, these are simple, clean, to the point, and do their job perfectly with no extra frills.

Great but not for small breed with curved nails.
These were sharp and did not split the nail. Cut through like butter.... But I could not use them on her back paws because she is small and they don't open all the way, so I could not get them around the curve if her nail. I would recommend for a large breed but I'm returning mine.

Absolutely worth it
I was a bit skeptical but I figured for the price it was worth a try. My 30lb dogs nail are always tough to cut and he always moves when we try to cut them. We tried these and it is exactly like a hot knife thru butter. He wasn't fussy and didn't move. It was so easy and painless. Absolutely I'd purchase this again and I purchased the smaller cutters. Worked beautifully

Exceptionnel : précis et silencieux
Exceptionnel !
