This is the second time we've bought this leash. The first time we bought it, we had a high-energy lab who pulled a lot! A trainer suggested this leash, as it's much easier on the hands. We now use that first leash for our english cream retriever, who along with a gentle lead, is a very good walker. The leash has held up well and has softened with age! We recently found a little dog, and while we waited for his owner to find him, I bought a cheaper fabric leash and halter for him. Even though he's little, he'd pull in all directions while walking, and I found the fabric leash to be hard on my hands. Since he's been with us several weeks now and the owners don't seem to be looking for him, I upgraded to this leash and a gentle lead, and he's much easier to walk now! This leash is great quality, long-lasting, great for training, and the perfect thickness and weight for dogs large and small. I'm very happy with this (repeat!) purchase!

I will Not own any other lead. Ever. I was given my 1st leather lead, a Fairwin, from my school Director when I graduated. I'm now a Certified Advanced Dog Trainer, that was December 2019. I've now purchased enough leads so that all my pups can have one of their. This is the only brand that I recommend to my clients. It's a top notch, top tier product. My last Service Dog was 145lbs and it perfectly fine, my current Service Dog in Training is 110lb and should top out around 195lb and I will trust this lead 100%.

The best and bought a second one

Very comfortable. Nice soft leather not stiff like others say. Nice amount of "stretch" if you will. I can't say for how durable because ive only been for one walk she'd nothing out of the norm happened. It seems rather durable though. I was very impressed with the leather. It's not this Chinese pressed together "leather". The smell of it coming out of the box was a bit strong of chemicals. I washed it like it said to do and it's not nearly as bad. After time it will go away I'm sure. Upon first grab of the leash it didn't leave any stain residue but after missing with it/handling the leash it let off dies onto my hand so I recommend use Satle soap or satle lotion if you have some laying around to clean it. I am highly impressed I really like this leash and have already recommended it tonothers.

This has turned out to be an excellent collar that has helped me train and control a six month of an immature puppy in the body of a mastiff Great Dane mix. 70 lbs of inquisitive puppy can be a handful. This collar has sure helped and he likes it better than the body harness!

Very nice leather, wider than expected, love the snap. The snap has a wide button making it easier to access.

I have the black 6 ft leash in the 5/8 inch width. The leash arrived in a soft condition, unlike other more expensive leather leashes I have purchased before and had to soak in horse tack oil to soften. When I hand this leash over to someone else to hold my dog, they are always surprised by the softness. I use this leash on my 30 lb dog. I don't know if I would use it on my 80 lb German shepherd in this width. The clasp seems very strong and reliable, but the leather has a little give to it. However, I'm not worried about failure with the 30 lb dog.

I was ready to be disappointed, considering the surprisingly low price... but the other reviews were right- this is an EXCELLENT lead. Well made, sturdy, and already softened to make it comfortable in the hand. The hardware was heavier/larger than i anticipated, but my dog will grow into it just fine. My concern was having a 6 foot lead that could handle a long life of use and stay SECURE, and that's what i received. Very pleased, and also the unexpected little gift they included was a lovely treat. Thank you!
