Not hard to do and turned out great

The kit came perfectly packaged, the mold was a little pressed in on the corners but easily fixed.I ordered different glass stones, dye, and extra lettering because I’ve made multiple stepping stones in my lifetime. The glass stones it came with were AS PICTURED, they were not colorless like some reviews said.If you follow the directions and press in on the portrait pictures using the popsicle stick& leave no openings with the sticker your pet portrait will not get ruined.Overall 4.5 out of 5. The only reason it’s a 4.5 is because the directions could be clearer.It doesn’t clearly state if you should wait 24hrs to decorate or decorate while wet. Luckily, mine dried up really fast and I was able to decorate while wet.

When placing the PAPER photo (never use actually photo paper) under the glass, be sure to use the provided tape circle first. I then take a glue stick and rub it along the edges of the glass and tape, then put clear packing tape all over the back. It helps preserve the picture longer and if you do it correctly and take your time, it will not receive any water damage when placed in the wet cement. Also found that using only 2 cups of water for the entire thing is more than enough, if anymore the cement is too runny and doesn't allow for proper stamping.

The kit is cute. The concrete is good. The glass beads are fine. The kit comes with letters & numbers for stamping. Instructions are good. I think it might end up leaking around the acrylic disk /picture, so we are going to attempt spraying the whole stone with a water proof sealant. The only reason I marked it a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 is because my bone mold was already cracked when it arrived, and the mold is cheap.... definitely not reusable, and I was super careful & gentle with it in hopes of being able to reuse it. By the time I unmolded, actual chunks of the plastic were breaking away. If you're just looking to make one, or use this kit to learn from, it's great. Just don't expect a multi-use mold.

Our family unfortunately had purchase this kit for our our beloved old pup's passing. The instructions were easy and precise, and the kit came complete with all necessary items. I loved the idea of having her picture and ours sits in a shaded area so I don't expect the photo to fade right away. To our surprise, the stone came right off from the plastic mold without hassle. We mixed, molded, and smoothed the cement and decorated it with colored stones around 5 pm, stamped the letters around 7:30 pm (definitely wait to stamp until the cement firms up, but still appears a bit wet), then removed it from the mold around 10:30 am the next day. My one tip is when you stamp the letters you might see it crack a bit...just dab the crack with a little water with you finger will do the trick.
