Scholastic Minecraft: Redstone Handbook (Updated Edition): An Official Mojang Book

I am a huge Minecraft fan, and know a lot of the intricacies of Minecraft. As such, I thought this would be nothing more than a complimentary extra.To my surprise and delight, I actually found some of it to be quite useful! There were a few designs and contraptions I didn't know about, or some that inspired me to make other interesting builds!It also has lots of nice illustrations and pictures, and is printed on a nice premium paper.A must have for hardcore Minecraft fans and may also serve as more than a mere accessory!

Bought this book as I wanted some ideas for building contraptions with my 7yo nephew who plays on Xbox.This book says that you can use the designs in all versions, but the first 4 I tried relied on Java specific techniques.Great book if you are using Java, but avoid if you are on console / windows 10 (Bedrock Version)

The Minecraft book was ordered for my son, it arrived as offered, it was a great price and my son loves it.

I think this book is very interesting and I love the step-by-step guides. However I think that some of the sections are a bit unnecessary. I think they could have made some of the redstone essentials and community build pages slightly more concise. This could have left space for more redstone step-by-step builds. Although overall I think that it was well worth the money.

The pages inside were ok but the cover was definitely not in very good condition as there were chunks missing upon arrival. Son is satisfied that he can still use so I have not returned item. Not impressed that it was under very good condition when it’s not
