Clay was v hard and is of no use

Perfect! Not too soft & not too hard!
I have been experimenting with different types of sculpey and of course I started with Original Sculpey- This I found was too soft & picked up a ton of finger prints and is somewhat fragile after baking. I have also tried Super Sculpey- which leaves hardly any finger prints but is Very hard and takes a long time to condition. With that being said, I tried Premo. This is the perfect โin-betweenโ regular Sculpey and Super Sculpey. Itโs not too soft but not too hard either and after all my experimenting, I would suggest going with this type! Especially if youโre making charms and little figurines that need to last and stay strong. For bigger projects I would suggest investing in Super Sculpey. But- Premo is perfect! Itโs not too soft and crumbly like regular Sculpey and is not as hard as Super Sculpey. It also doesnโt hold fingerprints as bad as regular sculpey. This is more of a personal preference though! I have issues with my hands and this isnโt the softest clay to use but I like itโs strength and how it holds details. So, be patient and maybe invest in a conditioning machine or a Never Knead if you have issues with your hands like I do! Have fun!
