Softer leather than the 3 hole version

To echo the reviews of others, I have found these Docs to be quite different from others I have owned. They are now made in China instead of England. Also, the leather is VERY stiff and shoe does not feel that comfortable. I have owned them for a few months and they have started to break in a bit, but normally, Docs shouldn't take that long. I bought the gaucho (brown) Docs on Amazon and they are the ones I am still "working on." However, I purchased a black pair (same style) from a local shoe store and they are quite comfortable (even though they are also made in China). So this shoe's woes may be due to the particular supplier/retailer for Amazon.

I have always been a Dr. Matrens fan. This pair of shoes just proves once again that I have made great shoe purchase from a excellent manufacturer.

My favorite shoes to wear to,work. Fast break in period; much more comfortable than their boots. Excellent, cushy support.
