I bought these SMITH Squad goggles for eye protection and wind protection on a trip to Antarctica, and they worked great. They were comfortable to wear, looked good, and did exactly what I needed them to do in cold, windy conditions.The quality is very good for the price, and they felt dependable for outdoor use. I was especially happy to have them when dealing with bright conditions and blowing wind, where regular sunglasses would not have been enough.The only downside is the soft case. It is fine for helping prevent scratches, but I would not count on it to protect the goggles from much else. I ended up ordering a hard case from another maker for better protection while traveling. Overall, though, the goggles themselves are excellent and I’m very happy with them.

My 35-year old Smith ski goggles disintegrated in my hands a few days before my trip to Mammoth last month. I needed a pair fast, but I wanted quality. I went with these and I wasn't disappointed. The level of tint is perfect. These have a wide field of view, and everything was very clear. They're reasonably lightweight, and durable. I did 48 miles, almost nine miles vertical, of alpine skiing over three days, in spring-like conditions, but with very good coverage. I hadn't skied for over 10 years, but didn't fall once.
