Hard to find size (5") and works great.
Local home improvement stores carry only a small selection of mainstream sizes so it was nice to find the 5" diameter damper here. This was for use in a rental manufactured home where the built in damper was sticking open. This was a quick and easy fix to keep the cold air from rushing down into the kitchen. Is well made and I would buy this brand again if I need another one.

High Quality and Good Service
I have purchased several of these dampers in 4 and 6 inch sizes. They work well in the horizontal position which is why I purchased them. Their dampers are of better quality than those I have purchased at Home Depot or Lowes.

Solid flapper. NOT a cheapo one like all others!
This is the flapper you want if you want to last. All other flimsy flappers are weak as my wife's pinkie. Price could be a bit better.

Good quality but….
It would work great in a vertical setup as long as it doesn’t get at all distorted out of round.Mine was not perfectly round so one side was sticking forcing me to mount it vertically instead of horizontally.Should be less expensive with this level of quality control.

It opens and closes properly. Seals very well too.
I use it opening straight up on top of a 500 CFM exhaust fan. No rattles.

Exactly What I Was Looking For!
The media could not be loaded. I've been searching for a 16" auto damper backdraft for my DIY attic fans.Finally found this one and it works perfect using my wireless remote, which turns on both fans in the attic...
