This book helped my son improve his hand writing. Handwriting is not a huge focus in school anymore. This is just want he needed to improve his handwriting.

Modern Manuscript is prettier than other handwriting programs and much less expensive. In the early weeks, each day introduces a new letter. The student practices the upper and lower case letter. Then the book creates words or sentences using the already learned letters. The book's layout is not busy or distracting. I see an improvement in my child's handwriting after a few weeks with this book.

Love this workbook. Our daughter enjoys the practice sentences and they are right at her reading level. She asked to practice more on handwriting so this workbook has been perfect for it

I love how simple and easy to use this book was for my son. His hand writing was terrible and this brought it up a bit. I will not say it is fantastic now but I think the daily focus on it really helped him improve to the point he is now where people can actually read it at least. I think the pages where fun and engaging but he didn't always love his workbook as some boys just don't. I would though recommend this to any parent who has a child needing the extra practice.

I bought this book to supplement my handwriting curriculum. My students always finish their handwriting book early in the year, but they always need more practice. This book is great. I have already seen improvements in their writing. Also- if you're not sure "Modern Manuscript" is the same thing as D'Nealian.

I like to use this book for homework. It would also be a great warm-up activity. This is a great book!!!

I purchased this for my son who is in 9th grade and STILL has trouble with forming his letters correctly. The lessons are short and it is a great tool for him to practice writing better. I still haven't seen much improvement, but we haven't been using it that long either. He gets bored of writing the lessons. It would be nice if maybe they had the lessons be short stories or something more interesting -- but this definitely is appropriate for all ages!
