Coleman Queen Airbed Folding Cot

I really love going camping, getting out in the wilderness where there is no cell service. Taking in the beauty, and having a blast. Up until bed time. While sitting around the campfire I always dreaded going to sleep on the floor. We had a blow up mattress, but it's just getting down so low that it was miserable. Especially when you had to get up off of the floor. When I was younger, this didn't affect me. During some research I came across this gem. I took some time reading over the reviews (Which are very helpful), and decided to get it overnight for the upcoming weekend camping trip. It arrived the day before we left (YAY Amazon). I opened it up and removed the included air mattress. I have heard that this mattress is a bit on the cheap side. Since we already owned a Queen Coleman airbed, we decided to use that one. It does in fact hold Coleman's other queen mattresses. Opening it up is pretty easy. Take it very slow, since there are a LOT of pinch points that could chew up fingers! It doesn't 'snap' to stay open. It uses gravity of the mattress and you to keep it flat on the ground. The cover is sewn onto the frame. You unzip the cover and slide in the mattress. The included air pump (Runs on 4 D batteries) is nice. The nozzle doesn't create a snug fit, so be prepared to hold it there while blowing it up. It doesn't have the 'gusto' to get the mattress firm, so you will need to use your hand/foot pump to get it to the right firmness. This isn't a huge game changer since it does inflate/deflate the mattress in seconds! When you move on it at night it does make some noise like the other reviewers have mentioned. It wasn't that loud, but it is there and noticeable. I don't think my neighbors heard us. The additional bed-side tables were a nice addition. Our tent doesn't allow us to use both sides. The one side we had it attached was nice. It's not a sturdy 'table', but a canvas that is stretched. We used it to hold our odds and ends from our pockets at night. The feet of the cot is plastic. It did manage to rub a few holes on the bottom of our tent. This is an easy fix, but your mileage may vary. I was worried about this, but I didn't think it would happen so quickly. I really wanted to remove a star, but I knew it could happen but didn't do anything to prevent it (I even talked about getting the furniture movers - plastic coasters for furniture).. That was MY fault. Overall, this is money well spent! I'm now not cringing in wanting to go to bed. It's quite enjoyable and comfortable!!

I'm not nearly into "roughing it" as my husband is, and the older I get, the harder it is for me to get on/off something like an airbed, even the double-height ones. So when he proposed a camping trip that involved three nights in a tent, I quickly learned the concept of "glamping" and signed myself up as a fan :-) Got this cot at a screaming deal (the universe was telling me to get it, seriously) and actually found myself looking forward to our trip! When we got to the campsite, we had yet to try setting this up, but it was almost too easy to believe. It's a bit heavy but the carrying case has wheels so it wasn't too hard to get out of the car and into the tent at all. Fully packed up, it is no bigger than a golf bag. The whole frame is made with accordion-style hinges, so even with 9 feet to distribute the weight, all you have to do is just pull the frame open. That's it. There's no locking mechanism, but it doesn't detract from the comfort or stability at all, and just makes it that much easier to pack it back up. You zip up the air mattress (included) into the fabric attached to the cot frame, which keeps it securely in place, and if you want to use the side tables then you just unfold them and slip them into the slots on the frame. That's it! Setup took no longer than 3 minutes, of which at least 2 was pumping the air into the mattress. This cot was amazingly comfortable. You can't feel the metal frame at all, and getting in and out of bed is almost as easy as it is at home. The side tables are surprisingly stable, too. And packing it all up was just as easy as setting it up. Deflate the airbed, fold it up, push the frame back together, slip it all into the carrying case, and you're done. Unbelievable. I am such a huge fan of this bed that I might just be up for another camping trip sooner rather than later!

It sufferes from the same downside as every air matress, it loses air throughout the night, otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Its comfortable to sleep on, easy to set up, and if you take your time, it fits very neatly into the original packaging. I wouldn't recommend it if you have anything smaller than a 6 person tent (for 2 people) or are intending to camp in the same tent as other people (unless you have a very large tent). I haven't had any leaks or issues other than air retention, but its definitely durable enough to take camping.

This thing is the best piece of camping equipment I have ever purchased. Hands down. It is sturdy, comfortable and easy to set up. Iv have used mine for several seasons now. It is heavy. It takes up some room. And it is absolutely worth both when you want to sleep comfortably.

I ordered this to go along with a tent we recently purchased. It has been years since I camped in a tent and back then we laid on the floor of the tent with just our sleeping bags, so I was happy when I found this queen size cot/mattress combo. It comes in a nice zippered bag with wheels which makes it easy to tote. Having the air mattress raised on a cot is great for adding extra storage room inside your tent as we store our luggage and supplies under the bed. It comes with a battery operated air pump which worked great and only took about 5 minutes to blow the mattress up. The removable side "tables" are such a nice feature and have built in drink holders. They are just big enough for a small lantern, a drink, phone, book, etc. The mattress and the cot were very easy to set up and take down and it fits nicely back in the bag. When I read other reviews, I noticed some said that the mattress was noisy when they moved around in their sleep. Maybe they did not have it inflated enough because my husband and I both got a great nights sleep on it without any noise. The only con is that it has an attached "cover" that the air mattress goes into and I wish it was removable to be able to wash it occasionally, but that feature is still nice because if we ever need to replace the actual air mattress we do not have to replace the entire bed. Just get another queen mattress that will fit the cot and inside the cover. I love the fact that we are not putting an air mattress direct on the tent floor where you can feel the coolness from the ground. This is great if you are looking to maximize space in a tent by using the under part of the raised cot/bed as storage. Would buy this again in a heartbeat. Great product! We have been tenters for years, sleeping on a queen size air mattress on the ground in what is called humorously a six-person tent. The mattress fit with about a foot on each side and at the bottom. (Ther is no bigger hype than tent sizes... a four-person tent is a minimum for a couple anywhere it might rain.) We like to sleep together. Recently her knee issues have made getting off the ground painful and difficult, requiring help. Add to that occasional mid-night bathroom trips and it was even more inconvenient. This cot, with its foot-high height, worked perfectly to solve those issues. When it arrived I was initially concerned with the weight; the whole package is a heavy 45 pounds. It has its own canvas case, with small wheels, similar to those on pop-up shelters, but not much help on campground grass and dirt. When we opened the box the pleasant surprise was that all that weight was divided between the frame and the quite substantial (read heavy) air mattress. The mattress itself weighs 12 to 15 pounds, leaving the frame itself a more reasonable (about) 30 pounds. The next nice surprise was that the frame simply unfolded, almost by itself. No troublesome braces or hooks or rods to put in place. Once unfolded it was easy to position. (We had looked at some single cots that required sitting on the ground and pulling stretch-bars to tighten the canvas. This was much easier.) The design is such that our weight on the cot works to stretch the frame and canvas, minimizing any sag. Once the frame was in place it was an easy task to put the mattress in its pocket and inflate it. It comes with an inflator that uses four D cells (not included.) When we got it up we realized some other advantages... we could store stuff under the cot, stuff that, when we were on the ground, used to crowd us. It also comes with small two snap-in shelves with bottle holders, nice for a water bottle and a flashlight. Sleeping on it: There is a bar down the middle we thought might be a comfort issue. It really wasn't. The mattress was deep and firm enough to make it only marginally noticeable. Until we got this I didn't realize how much more enjoyable tenting could be being able to sit up and stand up from the bed. Particularly a bed that is so easy to set up. When we broke camp a few days later I simply separated the mattress and inflator into a separate pack... a spare daypack we had hanging around. Five stars on this one for our purpose!.

I have had this for a few years and have bought another one it is great for camping or if you need extra sleeping space at home. The only downside side is it is noisy when moving on it and short of redoing the fabric between the supports I have not found a way to make it quieter.

I usually hate sleeping on air mattresses, but this was actually comfortable. It was very easy to set up and didn't lose firmness overnight. Even with my kids moving around in their sleep beside me, I slept well. We'll probably buy more of these to replace our regular air mattresses when they need replaced.

En México nos costó muchísimo encontrar algo similar fuera de Amazon y, después de varios meses de uso, puedo decir que ha sido una excelente compra. En nuestro caso tenemos únicamente dos habitaciones, así que esta Coleman se convirtió prácticamente en nuestra cama oficial para visitas. Es cómoda, resistente, fácil de montar y, cuando no se utiliza, se puede guardar sin ocupar demasiado espacio. Lo que más me gusta es el diseño de la base. La estructura cuenta con una especie de soporte de tela que mantiene el colchón Queen dentro de la cama y hace que todo se sienta mucho más estable que colocar simplemente un colchón inflable en el piso. Además, hay algo que considero muy importante mencionar: sí incluye su propio colchón inflable, pero nosotros tuvimos un percance y se rompió. Pensamos que quizá ya no podríamos utilizar la estructura, pero compramos posteriormente un colchón inflable Queen sencillo de otra marca y entró perfectamente. Para mí, eso le da muchísimo valor al producto porque no dependes necesariamente del colchón original para seguir utilizando toda la base. Los materiales se sienten muy buenos, la estructura es firme y después de utilizarla varias veces seguimos muy satisfechos. El precio sí podría ser un poco más accesible, especialmente porque en nuestro caso fue un producto de importación, pero pudimos comprarlo a meses y, viendo todo el uso que le hemos dado, considero que valió completamente la pena. 5 estrellas. De las mejores compras que hemos hecho para nuestra casa y una excelente solución cuando llegan visitas.

Overall, I am really satisfied with this package. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: - easy to set up, you basically just unfold it. - pump included, it is generic but works - nice valve on the mattress, Coleman has these valves that close with a cap but also by popping the valve in which makes it easy to close while still pumping air in - the mattress cover keeps the mattress in place - you can store bins that are a foot tall under the cot to save space in a tent. - Sturdy - All fits into the case (you have to take the mattress out of the cover, but it all fits easy) Cons: - the mattress cover is sewn onto the cot fabric itself. I think you could remove the whole thing to wash it but it might be nice to have the mattress cover detach for easy washing. Though, this might make the mattress move on the cot more... I really don't know. - It is heavy (read product specs). This makes it very sturdy but you aren't getting a lightweight cot Also, I fit this (barely) into a 4 person tent that was 5 feet tall. There wasn't a lot of spare space, but the whole thing is about 2 feet tall assembled, so it would work well in taller tents to save space and store stuff underneath. Just protect your tent floor! Very happy with the product

We loved our new camping bed! Easy to set up, the pump with D batteries is too slow, we used a power blower to inflate quicker. The side tables are a great added extra.

Apart from the defective mattress I bought it discounted but still not sure it’s worth it. I just found out that I could return the product now it’s too late.
