The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin

Bad quality:It's not a book for sure. Formatted like a school text book with poor alignments and small font size making it difficult to read.

Franklin was an excellent writer, very observant of human nature. This is a compilation of different stories he wrote, each one was intended to be part of a full autobiography. The compilation didn't take place til years after his death. Includes not-so-well-known details of his early life before he was famous or rich. Some background of famous events like Braddock's defeat at Duquesne (Pittsburgh), arrogant and irresponsible English Governors and the Penns. The syntax is a little odd to us today, but after a few pages I was able to catch on and read it easily.

Very interesting read, and tough time much about life view which, even five years later after reading the book, I still think back about.

It is kind of a big in size and the letters are not in best shape. I mean they could have applied another beautiful fonts so that it would be easier to read.The designers did very bad job

I downloaded this as my first Kindle book. This is well written story of Ben by Ben! Now I see why this was included in the Harvard Classics. I wish I read this book when I was teenager. It might have influenced me in other ways. You just keep reading it and then Wham! It ended. I wish "Old Ben" had finished it. You really get a good idea of how life was in Colonial American and how a Great Man created himself through self-education and hard work. Back them entertainment was limited, so people had the choice of self-education & reading or self-medication in the Taverns. You learn how old Ben chose the former and excelled in life.I recommend the book to everyone. And if is not on the required reading list of high schools, they should put it back on.The kindle edition was easy to read and the photos included were clear as opposed to other kindle books I have downloaded
