We bought this knowing our dog would need it soon but he passed before we used it. Looks to be good quality. It would have supported the back end of my 100 pound German shepherd without difficulty.

Our 13-year old dog (shepherd/lab, 90 lbs ) was suffering from weakness in her back legs (arthritis, some slight displasia), we thought. We purchased steps to get her into the car, but she stopped using them (refusing). At this point, she was 100 lbs, we couldn't pick her up to get her into the car, so her car rides (which she loved), became a thing of the past).She became ill with an extremely bad UTI/kidney infection (a couple of months after having her spleen removed ... not related), so bad she spent four days in the hospital at a specialized care hospital (1.5 hours away).She couldn't get into the car, she couldn't get up off the floor, we put rugs over all of our wood floors so she wouldn't slip and fall (even if it was only 2 feet). I purchased this in desparation, in the hopes we it could help, and it was a lifesaver, for all of us.We were able to lift her into the back end of our SUV for follow-up visits (she could no longer "sit" in the back seat). When she visited our vet, we used it to help her stand up after laying down on the tile floor.Best news, we don't need it anymore. She is back to how she was three years ago, before all of this started. She uses the steps into the back seat of our SUV, she can get up from the floor, even from tile.However, she is 13, and still a big dog (87 lbs). This will be here, just in case needed down the road. There is NO way I would get rid of this. The arthritis/displasia will not disappear).This saved us so much stress, being able to lift our fur baby into the car to get the critical care she needed. As a result (and I can't emphasize enough how much this helped) we are able to continue enjoying this amazing dog.If you have a fur baby who is having similar issues (weakness, inability to get up without help), this is SO for you.

Due to the complications that DM brings to dogs in the early stages, my Boxer pup (8 Years Old, 60 lbs.) is losing strength and confidence in her back legs. Our house is set up so that she needs to go downstairs to go outside and getting her down the stairs was a challenge, and I was not able to help much. I looked a full-body harnesses and even just rear harnesses but was not comfortable leaving her in something like that full-time. Not to mention that those harnesses can run 3-5 times more from a cost perspective.After receiving this sling I immediately put it to the test and while she was not comfortable with it at first, she has become very good with it. I can assist her in traversing down the stairs and have the added comfort of knowing that if she loses her footing I can support her so she doesn't fall. The padding underneath does not rub her or cause discomfort. I am very happy with my purchase and as much as I hate to say it, this product will probably outlive my girl. Maybe I can pass it on to someone else who needs it. Highly recommended to anyone needing to assist their dogs with mobility.

This was the second version that I bought and this one worked much better for me and my 11 yr old doodle who has trouble holding herself up when she has to do her business.She couldn’t hold herself up and would fall back into her pee or even worse poop. It was a mess and having to give her a bath/rise her almost every time.I first ordered another one that was more of a rear harness that looked good but didn’t function for what I needed. It was just going to end up all messy and smelly and defeat the purpose. Then I found this one and it’s perfect for us. Nice and soft on her belly (which is usually bloated because she has GI Trac issues) and the handle let’s me stand up and just guide her around the yard until she finds just the right spot.Only draw back is that it doesn’t attached to her torso in any way and she has tried to take off before I have it in place before and ended up peeing on it once. No problem I just hand washed it and it was good as new.Definitely recommend.

We foster mastiffs and English bulldogs and generally older ones. The bulldogs are not a problem for finding things for but trying to find an item for what we consider a big dog and not most companies definition of 100-150lbs is are 2 different stories. I figured I’d try this because our last mastiff was a big momma and since Amazon has an amazing return policy nothing to lose. When it arrived and I opened it not only was I shocked at the actual size of it but also the thickness, padding, and durable quality of it looked amazing so time to try it out. The other side being made of a tough nylon like a backpack made it easy to slide under her and now the lift almost like that as seen on tv it made it super easy to pick her up my wife could even do it. Would highly recommend this product for anyone with an actually large dog.
