Coolers and small fridges use these and they tend to fail after a period of time, so using these will save you a lot of money. Fairly easy to replace, you will need thermal paste, and make sure you replace with the same sides, normally just ensure the red and black cables are located in the same place when you replace the item. So far these are standing up well!

Used as replacement in logburner fan. First one went bad after a few weeks. Second still working so far.

These are rated as 60W / 6A. Just tested these and at 12V they only draw 3.5A, so only 40W - not very good!

These devices are very important for creating novel cooling units for high performance computing and fanless systems. It is though really important you use quality thermal paste on both sides of this device.. cold side to the processor chip and hot side to the heatsink (or case that is a finned heatsink design). I love these devices and have used about a thousand so far in my career. I like the ceramic sandwhich design of this product which is now the norm and these are well made. Basically one side gets very hot and one gets very cold depending on thr polarity to the semiconductor device. You can reverse the polarity to change which side gets hot and which cold. It only takes a few tens of seconds to develop a temperature difference. A good idea is always power it up before you paste it up and mount everything so you put it the right way around!!!! These thermo electric coolers are perfect for the small little project I have,There are many projects you can make from these with just a quick google search,These specific TECs are good quality, simple and easy to use, they are just as good as others, but at a great price

J'ai acheté cet article pour tenter de réparer une machine à bière qui ne refroissiait plus les fûts. Après avoir trouvé un tuto sur internet, le remplacement de la pièce n'est pas compliqué en 30 minutes c'était fait sans être un pro. La machine refroidit maintenant correctement, je recommande donc ce produit pour sauver les apéros l'été !

The media could not be loaded.  Acheté en remplacement pour ma tireuse à bière perfectdraft. Une vingtaine d'euros pour 5 pièces. Alors que sur les sites d'électroménager, il est à 35 euros pièces.Monté depuis plus d'un mois. Il refroidit très bien . Il a passé le teste des grosses chaleur sans problème. Pourquoi dépenser beaucoup, quand on peut avoir moin cher pour aussi bien.
