Does the cover interfere with the sound control located at the top?

I’m not sure what you’re referring to as the cover here but no these don’t interfere at all. The cord goes around the cables and then clips to the shirt. No interference at all.

How do I open the clip without forcing it and breaking it?

The clip is tricky... There are two "stops" to it. When you lift up the button end (the side near the cord) it will click into the first position. Then you have to lift it a little bit more until it clicks into the second position. Then you can press down to open the mouth of the clip.

does the cover block sound coming in?

No, it does not block the sound coming into your ear at all. The cord just keeps the aides attached to you if it happens to fall out of your ear.

Why can’t one select the color one wants?? I would feel ridiculous in some of these colors.
