Sturdy and easy to install.

Just recently dipped my toes in the waters of EV ownership and wanted to add a Lvl2 charger to the house but also didnt want to hardwire it or make it permanent in case we ended up not liking it. This was the perfect solution. The charger we bought plugs right into this and the box protects it from the elements. If we end up getting rid of the EV, I can take the charger down and now ive got 220 outside for an RV. Also great to use with a generator to power your house in the event of an outage if wired up to your panel properly with a transfer switch or auxiliary panel.

Heavy duty, good quality plug, however the box knock outs dont knock out with a screw driver and hammer like most, Ive bought 3 of them so far and I had to drill holes for the conduct connectors, which isnt a big deal, but does take some extra time, hence the 4 stars

Good Outlet as it supposed to be, Could be better if they have a hole pinchable on top. They only have pinchable holes on 2 sides

I've purchased two of these now and they are great for hooking up my 50 amp service on our RV. I will say that I do put steel wool in the bottom where the power cord comes in to fill the gap, just to help keep rodents/wasps out of it. Yes, it's not the easiest thing to install due to the screws and lugs, but they both have worked great.

Works well for car charging

I thought the embossed circly thing on the side was a knockout hole. Battered and bashed with hammer and screwdriver and no luck. It is NOT a knockout! There should be a knockout at least on bottom of box. Rather disappointed. I could have put together something more effective and usable for the same price or maybe free out of my junk collection. Er, I mean surplus parts collection. So if you get this, be aware that you either need a hole saw or a knoclout punch set. You aren't getting in with a screwdriver. Otherwise, meh. Okay, nothing special. Still usable so I gave it 3 stars, but PITA to use so I couldn't go four.
