Excactly what I wanted!
I was looking to replace an old packable backpack from EMS I've been using every day for at least ten years. I tried a few backpacks from Patagonia and searched for others on line, but could not find anything close to the old pack. This In and Out 22L pack is made will strong but light nylon, not polyester, fabric. It has a technical sternum strap, bottle holder on the outside with a nylon tensioner to ensure items stay put. It also has extra loops and tie downs built into the bag. It has two front pockets, a large, drawstring main compartment and an internal extra pocket for valuable items or a water bladder. Everything feels quality, but most importantly, it feels like quality! $99 sounds like a high price for a pack this size, but I can tell you, the $150 Patagonia I tried had weird geometry, very hard to access the main compartment and it felt so cheap. Another Patagonia bag I tried also had just the oddest dimensions. It was like a little kids back pack, just super sized. This pack was made from recycled polyester, which is great, but it was super heavy with nothing in it. Lastly, I really like that the In and Out has a protective, adjustable top flap to keep things dry inside. Too many of the bags I checked out had no protection for the top of the pack. This is a light weight, durable technical backpack that can be used for daily use or for real mountain climbing. Oh, one more thing. I am 197 lbs and 5'11". This backpack can be adjusted to fit someone my size or bigger, and also can be cinched up to fit someone much smaller. Truly versatile!

Mystery Ranch
As always great light but strong backpack well made. Only nitpick is the clips are a little too small to open close the bag

Great, convenient, handy extra bag!
I received this lightweight & pack-able bag through the Amazon Vine Voice program.I'm not going to repeat all the details/features described in the listing because that has been well covered including the brief video provided by the seller/manufacturer.What I will say is this is a sturdy bag that is all about convenience in the function and definitely lightweight enough to be a handy extra item in your pack or go bag. The fit is general but can be adjusted to appropriate settings, and the material is rugged enough for the capacity in which it is designed for. That all said, it's a great bag for when you need it, and the compact convenience is awesome. Super item to have in your gear collection. All the storage options & hydration reservoir make this just fantastic. Well done!!

Premium price but feels like a premium backpack
Loving this backpack so far. Wanted something packable that did not take up space but something that did feel more like a backpack then some of the cheaper pack backpacks I have tried. This still feels a little light (and obviously has little support) but if you back it properly its great to walk around with and very functional with 2 front pockets and smaller water pouch it has inside. Really excited to use this for a long time!Edit - have used this backpack abroad on 3 different trips and also in the USA when going to conferences. Has held up extremely well and this is so much better then cheaper one pocket stashable backpacks

Bad Quality Control
Came with a broken top handle. Would have expected better quality from Mystery Ranch gear. Best look elsewhere for a better pack.

Excellent
Just got this pack today. Not taken out yet. However, product seems perfect for my needs. A break away pack from my larger Dana Design without having to remove the lid and belt. Really happy. If you’re on the fence purchase. Solid construction. Anything changes, I’ll update review.

An improvement on a good, little pack
Loading from the top is an improvement. The water bottle pocket will take a 1 quart wide mouth Nalgene, tho the fit is snug. This may be so the bottle does not slip out. The other pockets are well thought out. The compression straps are well placed and the daisy chains are easy to get to.This pack rides like a dream and the fabric feels stout.Take your time when stuffing it back into its front pocket.
