It works!
Update: pump started to fail after three years. It was starting hard and missing on acceleration. I bought this pump again because itโs definitely worth the money. Iโm very glad I cut the hatch in the bed. Installed the new pump in 15 minutes and it runs strong again. Works perfectly in my 2002, 4.3L, 4x4, regular cab, Silverado with stepside bed. Rusty bolts made me decide to not lift the bed or drop the tank. I got a jigsaw and cut a hatch door in the floor of the bed, above the pump. I measured from below. I soldered the new wiring harness first and wires were obvious. Purple to purple, thick black to thick black, gray to gray, orange/black to thin black. Lock ring came off after a few minutes and some penetrating oil. Truck runs smoother than before. Shop wanted $700+, I did it for $60. Iโll update if it fails.
