Family Historian 7 Genealogy and Family Tree Software (Windows)

I bought this genealogy software because reviews said it was the best on the market, and after using it for 3-4 years, I fully agree. It has been easy to use, extremely flexible, and has been regularly upgraded by Calico Pie. It allows me to collect and organize information about my ancestors, attach historical documents, and create useful charts and reports. Unlike online genealogy services, it remains private and is not exposed to changes by other genealogists who might have inaccurate information. I highly recommend it for anyone seriously interested in studying their ancestral roots.

This was easy to use and download. I had a different family tree product before that didn’t allow you to match your children with a former spouse. This one does that and more.

I have a couple of sights with ancestry history online yet I really wanted to get an in-depth collection that was not in the cloud. Everyone cannon just log in look and change things, yet, I do get to print some really great diagrams and documents with the data I enter. I think this is going to prove to be a great one-spot collection of all kinds of family data. I am impressed, yet the one thing that is not incorporated is a connection to DNA studies. I still have to put the DNA connections in manually. If you are wondering, just buy it and get started.

I like the ease at which info can be updated. The navigation between individual records is the slowest process, but I am getting use to scrolling the alphabetical listing of names.

This is exactly what I have been looking for! It is easy to use. I love it.

The software package was opened and obviously used. When I tried to install the program, I was repeatedly informed that the activation code was already assigned to another customer making it impossible for me to activate the software that I had paid for. Still waiting for a replacement with no expected delivery date given.

Its similar to Historian 6. The one thing I haven't figured is when the hints that are connected to find my past or Ancestry how do you transfer info on to Hisorian 7 page.It was automatic on 6. But cant see how you do it. It's easy to put the details of the people in. Still complicated product

Fantastic. Only just received it but it looks good. Easy to download and install. Looking forward to having a play with it

I've used Family Historian for years so I knew this would be a great product for producing reports & charts, I'm not disappointed. This version has resolved minute niggly bits in previous versions which is great news. This is definitely the program I would personally recommend for genealogists regardless of their ability
