Order the hand pump maybe that will work vs the electric vacuum ,, the electric pump has no suction ,, them you smell electric smell like burning .. then no response so far from company The bags looks it made well on the plus side UPDATE....after posting review about pump not working the company quickly shipped me new one....it works great. Good customer service!

Spacesaver Premium Vacuum Storage Bags. 80% More Storage! Electric Pump for Travel! ...: The Spacesaver vacuum storage bags have not changed much over the years. Looks like they've improved the valve and the seal, which is pretty much the whole deal. This little electric pump works much better than I thought it would and had no trouble at all taking the air out of some pillows. But now here's the thing that gets my eyebrow up about the pump and the sell; they say "Electric Pump for Travel!" but the thing is 120V ONLY! Most electrical devices can handle 120-240 volts without switching these days, so if you want this for travel, make sure it's domestic travel. :-D D-: Back to the bags, (and travel), I remember years ago one of my colleagues thought he was being smart and packed a bunch of these bags on a trip to China. We got there and he shopped like a bandit and then sucked everything down to these bricks of fabric etc. and filled the expandable suitcase he bought to its limit. It was the saddest and also the funniest thing I ever saw when he tried to lift it. Remember folks, fabric is HEAVY!! So maybe there not so great for travel. Use UPS instead. :-D The bags are incredible space savers at home though. Like I said, I took the air out of three pillows and now they all take up the space of one pillow and I can fit them all in the chest with no trouble. Great bags. View the hype with one eyebrow up.

These bags have worked out much better than the Hefty bags. They seem to be a bit less stiff and more flexible. The pump they come with is the best, no more lugging vacuums hoses around. Down side is it is a bit challenging to tell which is which size in how they come packed.

I really like these Space Saver Bags—they’re durable, hold a lot, and do exactly what they’re supposed to do. It’s been a while since I last used them, but once I got going, they still worked great for compressing bulky items and freeing up a ton of storage space. My only issue is that they didn’t come with any instructions. I couldn’t remember how full to make the bags or what size each one was supposed to hold. In the past, the fill guidelines were printed right on the bags, so it was a little frustrating not having that reference anymore. I figured it out eventually, but it would’ve been nice to have the info included. Overall, the bags themselves are excellent—just missing those helpful details that used to make them even easier to use.

Works well and I still use these to this day.

Used 4 bags and thus far only one remained with the negative pressure. One already ripped apart. Disappointed.

They did what they needed to do

My first use, the space saver vacuum turns on, but does not suck air. Thankfully my home vacuum works, but obviously not ideal for use during travel outside of my upcoming move. So far, I have one bag that does not work. I have resealed many times, so it’s just defective. Several bags I haven’t tried yet, but I have 5 that do work perfectly fine. The customer support number and website listed on Amazon are for the wrong space saver company, and while I did find the correct website and number with a little searching off Amazon, I clearly am not getting a resolution anytime soon. I took risk after seeing what others wrote, and time will tell if any follow through. For now, I may be out of luck for my move if any other bags don’t work.
