Love it - high quality after market front cam front dvr mirror with option for backup cam
Very impressed with this Master Tailgaters HD DVR (MR-43-E2DVR2) which I just installed. It was just what my wife wanted for her suv as an integrated system. Records front mirror cam automatically when turn on ACC/start car. I added a backup camera which turns on automatically when going into reverse. I did my research to understand how best to make the connections needed for my vehicle (was able to fine open slots in front fuse box for Batt and Acc power wires for DVR mirror - used two Add A Circuit 2 amps), learned how to take off my OEM Toyota rear mirror, and took my time with the entire install and wiring process. Took one day to install DVR mirror and another to install backup cam. The picture quality is very good with many user features available as part of the mirror functions to allow you to set them based on your needs. Mirror is also touch screen. Comes with a small remote designed to do various adjustment to backup / line grids when in reverse mode only. I recommend if getting this model to install a backup cam in which you can deactivate any lines/grids from cam itself, so you can better use the line/grid function from the DVR mirror and not have double lines. Note - must connect green back up signal wire at front of car for mirror as well as connect to backup light to power the rear backup cam. I will likely replace the backup cam I used (which came will permanent lines) with another better quality backup cam without lines. Overall very happy with this DVR mirror and it looks as if it came from the factory. I may end up getting one more of these DVR mirrors for my other Toyota vehicle just to get the front DVR front dash cam function. Much less oblivious and much easier than using my GoPro on dash which eats batteries every 2 hrs.

If you are handy with Electronics, this is an easy, great addition
If you ave some confidence with electronics and wiring, this is not a bad project. You will need your own wire connectors and some basic know-how. The product works well, though my remote never did work. Not sure a remote is really needed or helpful, but it didn't work. Looks just like a factory mirror.

Very Disappointed!
So disappointed in this product. Basically, just disregard any positive reviews you might find. Camera was unnecessarily difficult to install so I had to get it done professionally. Has very unique connections which make it almost impossible to just plug and play. Your basically rewiring your vehicle just for this device. The camera quality is horrible and there are no other options to switch between. The parking mode feature is so sensitive that any setting but "off" will make a strong wind trigger it, causing it to constantly lock videos and hog up memory. Worst feature, the 4" screen is really 2×2. So imagine trying to view a recording on a Gameboy screen (look it up). And if you set front and back to view simultaneously it makes the picture quality 10x worse. Don't bother with the wifi or gps features unless your installing this in a commercial vehicle. So passed at myself for getting this. Now I get to spend $xxx amount on a new camera on top of the nearly $300 I wasted between this and installation fees. Real trash!

Not cheaply made
I've waited a few months to write this so I can somewhat speak to its durability. So far it has worked perfectly. I made sure to use a high speed, high quality sd card. No problems there. It seems to be made of quality stuff (which kinda surprised me) Overall I am pleasantly surprised at how well it works and holds up to the heat (I live in Fl) If you are looking for a dashcam in the rearview mirror setup this is the way to go. I thought it was going to be cheap Chinese trash but its solid. If I had any complaints it would be the camera quality could be better but it is on par with other dash cams. You won't be recording license plates unless you rear end someone lol.

Have extra wire on hand. Has been working great for two years
My rearview was broken when I purchased the 2013 Malibu so this made a great upgrade replacement mirror. What I like.. Excellent night recording screen is sharp and the auto dimming works very well takes upto a 64gb SD Card 60mb write and up to 100mb read from samsung. The customer service was very quick to reply if you have a question.Things I didn't like: The instructions were somewhat confusing with the miss spellings also be prepared to have 20' of wire handy to run to the reverse lght if you install a backup camera.Wish it had: Dual recording front and rear... Overall once I was able to interpret the instructions Tribble is trigger and back up signal is your reverse light hope this helps the next installation

I shakes too much for me. I had to return it.
I think the fit and finish is excellent. I will agree that it's OE level. However, I returned this unit because the unit shakes when my Prius goes over bumps. The OE mirror in my 3rd Gen Prius is rock solid. It doesn't shake. I already have a CHICOM mirror that does the same thing this unit does but it also shakes, just a lot more, even after I mounted it to a conventional rear view window mount. So, I purchased this unit. I really hoped this unit was going to be the one. It wasn't so it had to go back.

Great addition !
I thought about this long and hard for over 2 yrs when I was driving ride-share. I finally got the WiFi version and think its a great addition! My only regret, I dont ride-share, but I now want the one that has in-cabin camera. Let me think on that.

Meh
Installation was straight forward. Getting used to using it was a little challenging. The directions are not exactly the best. The mirror it self is just slightly heavier than the original, but is not as steady. Lots of vibration and doesn't hold it's position, I have to readjust often. Not sure of the accident recording system, thankfully.
