LogitechM557 Bluetooth Mouse – Wireless Mouse with 1 Year Battery Life, Side-to-Side Scrolling, and Right or Left Hand Use with Apple Mac or Microsoft Windows Computers and Laptops, Gray

This was a replacement BT mouse as the previous one failed. I selected another Logitect as it is a known brand. The mouse has the usual left/right buttons and scroll wheel. Pressing the scroll wheel activates the mouse movement scroll. It had an additional button on top labelled Windows. Pressing this opens up the Search window; I don't use it.There is an audible click when you press the left or right buttons. It does not bother me but it could be intrusive in heavy use.

Logitech have ALWAYS made the best mouses... The M557 is no exception.

While it says that this product is Mac compatible, it is not. I have tried two of these mouses and neither have worked. The company in fact KNOWS this is an issue as there is a statement on their website. The amazon listing needs to be updated to reflect this! Super unfortunate because I could tell that I was going to like it: it's small, lightweight.

I had my first one for over a year and a half and it took a beating as I traveled a lot and it was in and out of my backpack on a daily basis.Despite all that it worked great. I was using it with a surface pro and the bluetooth connection was solid every time. It's very responsive and the sensitivity takes some getting used to, but overall a great mouse.The batteries are supposed to last for an entire year due to the low power consumption of the device, but I probably changed the batteries at least two times in that year and half. So with constant daily use you're not quite getting a year out of the batteries. However, not having to change any batteries for months is really great. I would love a model with a built in rechargeable battery that you would only need to charge once every few months.Recently for whatever reason it suddenly stopped working altogether. Now with that said, I loved it so much I just bought another one and I'm still giving it 5 stars.
