SAS Southland Archery Supply Outrage 70 Lbs 31'' ATA Hunting Compound Bow - Autumn Camo

Purchased this bow in June 2015. All the pictures and video were taken with this bow. You're officially buying what my archery instructors called "The Cannon". It's a great starter bow. With such a cheap price, it leaves you enough to get new accessories to try out. I could not pull the string when I first got the bow. I lowered the draw weight to about 55lbs by unscrewing the bolts of each arm. I had to purchase the "bow trainer" and practice every day pulling more and more weight. Then I finally could pull the string without getting a stroke. Even body builders can't pull this bow string without first building up the right muscles. Once you get use to this, have one of your body builder friends try to pull the string (without triggering the string release). It will be funny moment. Buy a string release, it will save your skin and make you more accurate. Join a league. The free advice will pay for itself and you might be able to score some expensive hand me down accessories at very cheap prices. BE VERY CAREFUL! If you unscrew too much your screw will come out with enough force to seriously hurt you. BE VERY CAREFUL TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTION TO THE T. YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH DEPEND ON IT! DO NOT DRY FIRE (pulling and releasing without an arrow). It will cause the bow at best to derail the string and at worse to self destruct and possibly kill you. I did it once and survived with minimal damage. Should have bought a lottery ticket. Fast forward to 2022, haven't shot the bow since before covid but I also need new strings as they should be replaced periodically. So I haven't shot it since and will not till I replace all the strings. Interesting facts. I calculated the force of the arrow when fired from this bow. It sits on the scale between a 38 and 45 cal handgun bullet on impact with target practice arrows. The only difference is that arrows will pierce both sides of a vest, go through walls, etc. This is not a toy, it will kill someone if fired through a wall. Treat it like a loaded rifle.

I am extremely satisfied with this bow. I am an avid hunter looking to make the transition to bow hunting (Deer/hog). Bought this after hearing reviews on Google that this is the “best bow for the money”. That explanation hits this right on the head. First of all you are much better off buying the extra accessories separately yourself for two reasons. 1st of all you will get much better quality parts and 2nd if you decide to upgrade you can carry your sight and etc. over to your next bow. Bow was delivered quickly and came with No loose screws (always good to check this on delivery) I have shot this bow everyday for a few weeks now (both from ground and from a stand)and have had no problems with it. Do not release this bow by hand (use a trigger release) OR DRY FIRE!!!! that’s probably why the string broke on the negative reviews since it is not designed to be released that way and definitely not dry fired. I am not an expert by any means but this bow shoots well and seems to be quiet enough to hunt with. The draw seems good also. I am very happy with this bow. I only gave accuracy a 4 because I’m not sure if it’s just me or the bow lol pic is at 40 yards. Attached are pics to show I’m not some dude working for SAS. My entire setup cost just shy of 200$. Don’t hesitate if you are looking for a starter bow.

Looks and shoots very well. Can't beat the price, either! I'm 6'4" 268 # Product says 70# Draw weight, doesn't feel like it tho. All in all, I've got to say, it's the greatest Deal on Amazon, for a Compound Bow. I wouldn't call it a starter bow, This package can line up with bows 2-3x the price. Looks like it even got better reviews than the Diamond Infinity Edge. Easy to setup, (if you've been handling archery gear for a while) shoots nice, I don't have any issues other than the draw weight, I'll have to take it in to see if it is indeed 70# If you're thinking about a great bow, without breaking the bank, this is it!!! You won't be disappointed (I opted for the returned item, at $149 cause its X-Mas season. I've got 7 kids to buy stuff for so this was perfect for me!!!)

I'm a beginner and didn't want to drop a $1000+ to figure out whether I have a new hobby. This bow is smaller and yet heavier than I expected. That weight will take a toll on your brace shoulder. But it feels very solid. I expect it would survive a 30ft drop from a tree stand and worse. I bought the base model Outage and picked up accessories separately. All told, I spent about $350 including 36 arrows, target points, broadheads, sight, release. And a trip to the local archery shop to get it tuned up( set draw length and weight) and install a D-loop. I received the bow on Friday night, by Saturday afternoon I was shooting 3" groups at 20 yards. My only complaint is the weight. But you wont get a better bow at this price. My thanks to SAS. Nice lightweight bow for a great price. Seems to be well built and was shipped very quickly. ( some wrapping on the box would be nice though ) After a visit to my local bow shop for a peepsight, whisker biscuit and 3 pin sight, I easily got sighted in and am hitting the target where I want to at 10, 20 and 30 yards. I am very happy with my purchase and glad I didn't have to spend 3-400 $ on a big name bow. For my use as a hunting bow and a bit of target shooting, it does the job perfectly. Thanks.

horrible product. made over seas. string snapped in the bottom loop after four arrows shot. bought a new string, took it to a shop to be set up, string snapped in same spot on the guy tuning in the bow on the first arrow. i should have just waited and spent some more money on a bow that was actually made in the U.S. i wouldn't recommend this bow to anyone. i wish i could have said how i really felt about this bow, but amazon has a thing about cuss words.

Awesome bow for the price, as for everything you buy, check screws, bolts etc but after putting my goodies on it and hitting the yard for the 10yd sight groups i cant complain at all. The grip feels good, not too slim of fat on the palm, the bow sits pretty light in your hands and the let off is awesome, good for long hold practice shots. Shoots solid groups out to even 40+. All together i spent maybe $280+ on my entire bow setup minus the arrows! Good solid bow! A GOOD BUY!

I bought the camo bow (without the proper package) the camo is great and the bow shoots awsome! The parts it comes with are crap so I just put my own parts on it and it lookes awesome! The bow comes with a string stop and it's not bad, and yes you can adjust it. The string on the bow are fine, WAX THE STRING BEFORE YOU START SHOOTING THE BOW! That's why some people's strings broke. The cams on the bow are pretty good but you can't set your draw length in half's, so if your draw length is 27.5 then you'd have to either round down to 26 or round up to 28. The draw lengths on the bow are 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31. This bow is a little heavy but not that bad, it's pretty easy to get use to, with all the attachments on it it weighs about 6 pounds. I really like this bow, it's just the right size and it shoots great!! AND YES IT WILL KILL DEER!!
