These are a brilliant idea and something that definitely was not around the last time I had a shredder. We recently bought the bonsai shredder and started to notice that after awhile it got very dusty and wasn’t cutting as it should. Reading the manual it recommends that should be oiled every 3 to 5 shreds and considering I was 3 full shredders bins in, it was probably a little on the thirsty side. The manual recommended these ones so I purchased them and they seemed good value as I’m not going to be using them that often so took a punt. When they arrived, they were not what I expected; they are an A5 piece of paper that’s slightly thicker than standard paper and it appears to be glued to another piece and the oil is kept inside like an envelope. You don’t open the pouch, you just run it through your shredder and then hit it into reverse and then into forward again; going backwards and forwards every two seconds until the sheet has worked all the way through. I was dubious but gave it a go and I was surprised at just how much of a difference it made to the shredders performance. It didn’t jam as much, there wasn’t as much dust and it was cross shredding as it should do instead of creating ribbons. I’ve now put these in the box with the shredder and will use these every time I fill up a shredder. I don’t use it very often in general, but I had a lot of paperwork to get rid of so it was a mammoth shredding project but they are great. So much less mess than trying to use a bottle of oil or trying to get in around the dangerous blades; just simply shred and then go backwards and forwards until the sheet has worked its way through.

Previous Bonsaii, had for a few years, was very unstable (Model: C234-B) It cut a couple more pages than this model, but also jammed and had no jam release. From experience, these shredder manufacturers usually make the collection bin far too light to securely hold the heavy cutting top. The old Bonsai would easily tip and risk damaging feet or something else as the top then fell off! These companies need to consider improvements there. So I almost didn't buy another shredder from this company, when the old one badly jammed yet again and I wasn't prepared to do the usual poking out for a couple of hours! Having said this, this model is good so far. It is quieter (the previous model would wake the dead!) and has the essential un-jammer : )... It's smaller too (better for limited flat space) and crucially the top isn't nearly so heavy and therefore so dangerous from the likelihood of tipping and detaching! It loses one star, as I still believe the box should be a little stronger / heavier and therefore more stable. It doesn't cross strip, as the other one did... just does the spaghetti option. So it's not so good for highly confidential stuff perhaps, but is fine for most home use. (Just muddle the sheds together before binning!). The extendable top might be handy if it can be secure on top of a larger box etc, when shedding more, but I haven't tried that yet. Have now also bought a packet of shedding oil papers though, and realise I should have had these before perhaps, to have saved my sanity more, by probably easing the regularity of jamming in the older model?! Anyway, overall I am so far very pleased with this and can recommend it for a small space / home use.

Got this to go through shredder. On delivery they had leaked through the packaging so had to go straight in a plastic bag. Appear to work ok

This is the best shredder that I've ever had,, and I have put it through a test of constant use it holds up I wished I was able to have bought this long ago but your money where you want it I would recommend this trailer it makes confetti out of it but it's good

If you have and want to keep your favorite paper shredder in good condition these lubrication sheets have been very useful for me. I'll buy more of the same when I run out.

The instructions say go forward, then reverse, then go forward again. However, the lubricant sheet is only a few inches long and there is not time for those three steps. I taped two sheets end to end, and it worked better.
