After being gas lit by my coparent for a decade, this book was so enlightening and empowering.Not only was it educational in learning how the mind of a narcissist operates, but I also loved that it had chapters on disarming and navigating through the relationship in ways that won’t force you to continue to live the way you have been.If anyone suspects they’re dealing with a narcissist or they’re being gas lit, or knows they have in the past and are still suffering from the aftermath - buy this book.

Bought this 1 week after my narcissistic husband left. We were together 2 years and married 2 months. After marriage he totally flipped the switch and this gave me so much insight I nearly highlighted and underlined the whole book. To test my new found red flag knowledge, I did an experiment by logging onto a free dating app for two days to see if I could spot the Gaslighter’s without even meeting them. Found 2 of the 4 men I spoke too within 48 hours! This also helped me to identity gaslighting in my ex husband’s texts as I couldn’t go full no contact during the divorce and it helped me not to be sucked into his hoovering and manipulation so I could stay safe. I definitely recommend!

This book is everything anyone needs to know about narcissists, I feel the way it was written was perfect, I believe a book of this nature should be put in the context that can be understood by anyone at any age.

If you are a victim of severe gaslighting, this book opens up clarity on what those perpetrators do with ridiculous sharpness. You are left feeling foolish that you fell for it all, but also with a sense of "huh, so that is what is constantly going through their mind? Who thinks like that? Oh right, that is exactly how my abuser thinks and acts." Not in some vague sense - very practical, crystal understanding. Brilliant. Super.
