Do you need a snorkel to use this board effectively?

No, you don't need a snorkel at all. The layout of board was designed to be used without one.

Has anyone used this for body surfing? It looks like it may be a little too big to be able to swim hard enough to catch a wave.

The board is small. Just for hands not for body surfing.

What are the dimensions?

Sorry don't know measurements, but they are small, about the size of your crossed hands with extended fingers - fits easily in my gym bag.

Do you need 2 of these to kick laps using only feet?

Only one is needed. P{lace one hand under the strap and the other on top and this allows your head to remain under the water and your shoulders to be in alignment. #FINIS
