Great improvement and easy installation
Perfect replacement for my OEM pump. Installed it quickly and had it working in no time at all. I feel like this pump is superior to the original as it seems to have better pressure, is quieter and with the SEAFLO accumulation tank added, it runs less frequently. Really happy with this product.

Seaflo 42 Series - Boater Approved
Replaced my boat's (1994 Catalina 320) old 3 chamber Jabsco water pump with this 4 chamber Seaflo 42 series water pump. Features adjustable pressure, by-pass switch, and in-line filter. Operates quietly, with by-pass switch it doesn't cycle in low water use, provides steady stream. Price is very convincing, yet the pump quality and features are very good. It was a plug and play replacement with my old system, didn't need to buy additional parts for the boat's plumbing. Using it happily for the past 3 months without issues.

This pump is a workhorse!
Excellent product. Super quiet, very easy to install, perfect fit for my setup, very well made. It comes with a rubber base to absorb vibrations which makes it quieter than it already is.I’ve been using it daily for about a week now without any issues. My daily use is basically to water my garden which takers about 30 minutes of continuous use and supply a toilet and a sink that are off grid. Suction head of my setup is about 2 feet and the other end head is about 10 feet, no issues at all, pressure is great and the auto shut off works flawlessly. Mine is powered by a small battery bank of about 50amps that is connected to a wind generator so is completely off grid.If you want a quiet, powerful, easy to install, great quality 12 volts pump; look no further this is the one you need!!!

High quality, quiet, reliable
I use this pump as the main pump for a domestic water system at my off grid cabin. It's powered by a 12v battery that is charged by a solar panel, and it pulls water from a 100 gallon agricultural spray tank. It has plenty of flow and pressure for washing dishes or taking a shower, and it puts out fairly steady pressure for a diaphragm pump- I haven't needed to add a surge tank. It's mounted to one of the posts under the floor of the cabin and it's quiet enough to not really be very audible when running. It's survived several seasons of use without noticeable wear and tear. I drain it down every winter and remove the screen and have had no freeze damage. The water it pumps from the tank ranges in temperature from 45 degrees to 90 degrees depending on the season and it doesn't seem to make any difference to the pump.

Broke after 2-days of use: Update
2-days after I installed this pump, it failed to work. It ran awesome for the first 2-days, pulling water from an external water tank, and keeping pressured water at my RV city water connection. The pump would cycle off, when we stopped using water, and would cycle back on, once the water was in use. We were leaving the RV, for a couple days, so I disconnected the pump, from the battery...just in case we sprung a leak in the RV.When we returned, and hooked the pump back up to the battery...nothing happened. I turned spigots on, nothing. I verified water was still flowing to the pump...all good. I felt the pump and the motor area was getting hot. I guess it was getting power. I unplugged the pump, for a few hours, and tried again. Nothing. What a shame.I did request a replacement pump, but it won't be here for at least a MONTH! Seriously? I can go to Amazon and place an order to the exact same vendor, for the exact same pump, today...and it is eligible for Prime 2-day Shipping. I am basically going to have to buy a cheap pump, so I can have water while I wait. Seems the company doesn't care much about previous customers...only new customers. When the new pump comes in, I will update this review...if the pump lasts more than 2-days.----------------------------------------New pump arrived, about 2 weeks later.Haven't had a problem with the replacement pump. Updated the rating from 1 to 4 stars.

Very highly recommend purchasing this pump
Very nice pump. Super whisper quiet. I could hear the bubbling spring over the pump. Measured the flow and it is a solid 3 gallons a minute. Small enough to easily pack away into a small tote. For my type use, which is filling bottles with spring water. Turned on and it took about about 5 or 6 seconds to dry Prime the pump intake line with no issues whatsoever and that was a 4 ft climb. Very highly recommend this pump. Remember (DO NOT) use metal fittings on this pumps intake or Outlet conections. Use the plastic connectors that come with the pump. I marked my hose ends with the plastic fittings with black marker that says (pump end) on both hoses just in case someone else were to hook it up, it would be clear.

DANGER! A product is only as good as it’s weakest attribute: in this case it’s pressure switch.
I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but this could literally be life or death for someone and I feel a responsibility to inform anyone who may be relying on this for potable water, or any situation where the products failure could be catastrophic.Sure it is quiet, inexpensive, good psi, boasting low flow capabilities and an impressive warranty (granted I still needed to install an accumulator tank because mine still cycles, and people have reported they don’t honor their warranty) - but the pressure switch on this has caused catastrophic issues for many people (just search YouTube); as far as draining freshwater tanks out at sea due to melting the plastic water joints (not to mention potentially starting a fire).Well, its not a myth. I’ve pumped maybe 100 gallons simply to test the water system I installed in my sprinter. Worked great, so I thought maybe those people had it in too humid environments for too long and that caused the issue (still shouldn’t happen on a water pump, but ok you get what you pay for).Well, brand new pump… Dry location… Still returnable to Amazon… It seemed to work fine so I took a trip (I’m still on the trip trying to get a new pump sent to me on my way).First night (last night), it started shorting out when it reached pressure, just as it has been cautioned in the videos I have watched. It shorts enough to make an electrical short crackling sound and make the lights in the van flicker while the pump rapidly cycles on and off, but not enough to trip the fuse. Plus it still pumps water… for now…As such, I can certainly understand how if this was out of observable range (acoustically or visually), and not tampering with sensitive lighting dimmers (different circuit, non-isolated, same power source), one would not necessarily know that it’s shorting out until it’s too late and has melted itself, and potentially the connected plumbing (which is how this has unknowingly drained freshwater tanks at sea)…Thankfully I’m still under Amazon’s return window (yes it’s that new), and they will honor the return, otherwise I’d have to deal with the seaflo warranty that they don’t seem to honor (read reviews of them delaying by months, or going MIA, or even going as far as just telling people to just bypass the pressure switch and keep the faulty unit).I decided to buy a higher quality pump for peace of mind. And I’m not even out at sea. But the possibility of a fire? Or suddenly draining the freshwater tank into my van? Perhaps while 5 days out into the desert?Nope. It’s a known issue and simple fix seaflo. You could literally be the cause of someone’s demise for not just fixing this issue. It’s not just inconvenient; it’s potentially someone’s life if they are weeks from land or way off grid.Buyer beware.

Arrived on time.
This came quickly and with a 4 year warranty. Our RTV is about Kubota RTV is about 20 years old and this is the first time we have had to replace the water pump. It works now. Hope it lasts as long as our last one did:)
