I've had a robot vacuum for about 3 years. I liked it. It was off brand and it had the little bin you had to clean daily. It was fine. I really liked it. But OMG THIS ONE IS SO GOOD! Please note I got it 50% off otherwise I wouldn't have spent the money on it, but having it now, I'd buy it again! It works so much better and I love that it self empties. I have a large lab who is blowing his coat right now and my other vacuum died about 2 weeks before I got this one so it had its work cut out for it. It did not disappoint! The set up wasn't horrible and you can put it on a schedule from your phone. It works with the magnet tape stuff to keep it out of specific areas. I have only tried this on hardwood. I have a small rug but the font door but I have not tried it on carpet other than that. But it does amazing sweeping for me. Highly recommend especially to my pet owners!

I am very picky about my purchases and I do not review products but I felt the need to review this one. I was hesitant to buy this because I bought one when they first came out and I did not like how it cleaned. The machine was all over the place, would get stuck on rugs and practically everything and had no sense of boundries unless you placed strips down, which looked awful. It also did not seem to pick up much. After looking at this new one multiple times I finally purchased it. I LOVE IT!!! IT IS AMAZING. It is fast, it moves straight up and down lines to get every area, it leaves vacuum marks (love that), it goes over my THICK rugs not just thin without getting stuck. It stops at my step drop off and does not fall, you can program it when you want it to vacuum, it picks up everything. SUGGESTION: Make sure your cords are picked up or they will be dragged and pull stuff down. Also it empties the tank by itself, it says you only need to empty it every 30 days but I do it once a week to keep the suction. Picks up pet hair too!!! AMAZING!!!

My wife wanted one of these vacs for Mother's Day for our bedroom. Although animals are not permitted in our room our cats are homing missile for my pillow which is not a good thing for a person is mild cat allergies. I still got the unit rated for pet hair in case we would run it elsewhere in the house. The beater bar does not stay as clean as I would expect but it is easy enough to clean. Overall, it does a good job has tendency to get itself hung up on recliners with swivel bases. Overall, I would recommend this product. The one complaint I have the App based wifi connection process is terrible. More specifically the connection process to wifi used internally to the Shark. Once connected the app is ok. Not to go to techno nerd here but in simple terms. The connection sequence the Shark uses is far too slow, clumsy, and timeouts too quickly. I tried for almost 90 minutes to connect this device to my wifi per the instructions despite trying numerous times and variations of interpretations of the instructions the connection would start and right at the end it would fail. I am technically advanced I checked my wifi logs the Shark would timeout right before a network address was assigned. I called Shark support they would have been helpful to a non-technical person as 1st level had me try what I had already done and then said 2nd level would call within 24 hours. No call from 2nd level. I decided to try one more thing to make the connection before returning the product. I pre-assigned a network address to the Shark which cut down on the negotiating time and allowed for a successful connection. I am not going to say everyone will experience this problem but I can tell you my network gear is all less than a year old and it took high level technical knowledge to get a successful connection.

Our family has used Roombas for more than ten years. When our latest one died, we bought the Shark on the recommendation of a friend. What a surprising upgrade! In particular: 1) longer run time, 2) more methodical cleaning, which means more area is cleaned, 3) much better removal of hair from our two yellow labs, and 4) runs much quieter. We are really happy with our shark and highly recommend it!

It's a bit louder than I thought it'd be. It goes around the house by line then when it's done all the floors it just starts doing random zig zags. We have 5 animals so I empty the canister every time I turn it on, hair doesn't seem to make it say it's full, but I also haven't let it get so compact it tells me to empty it. The app works nice. But on the hair note, the roll will get clogged like a push vacuum, error number two or something. There's plenty of youtube videos and even a few minutes of looking at it upside down you'll see pull latches to pop all the pieces out easy peasy.

Only lasted a year after that the battery started dying really quickly. Now after a year and a half it’s trash. Also, it never had very good suction from the start.

I have a golden retriever and 3 cats so to say I have a lot of animal fur would be an understatement. My entire house is hardwood floors and sweeping multiple times daily was getting exhausting. I did a lot of research to find a robot vacuum that would meet our needs and decided to order this Shark after reading many reviews. The suction power is great, almost too great, as my brush does need to be cleared a lot. The dustbin holds a lot of, and I don't have to empty it as often as I thought. The set up was easy, and I do like that there's an app so I can run the Shark even if I'm not home. It doesn't have any specific mapping or any ability to just clean a certain area, but at the time I didn't think I would need that and I'm not sure that I would at this point either. I like that you can set the suction power as there are some days there's a lot more kid crumbs and animal shedding and setting it on full power works really good. I love that the shark will go self empty after a certain amount of time. I have it set so it will charge back up and then finish up afterwards. It can get into many places, sometimes it seems like it gets a bit "confused" and it can sometimes miss an area, but then get it on the next run so I'm not sure if that's a sensor issue or what. Overall, I love my robot and it has saved me so much time and it has saved my back from sweeping multile times daily.

Bought this on sale so the price was absolutely worth it. So far I’m obsessed with this vacuum, we had a roomba before and I love this one way more. The fact that it goes in lines rather then random patterns leads to a way better cleaning, it also learns your home after a few days of cleaning so it’s way more consistent. It amazing me that it’ll be half way across the house and go back to the dock to empty then return to where it was to start cleaning again. Does not get caught on things or lost often which is awesome. Only downside is that shark does not have an “invisible wall” feature like iRobot roomba does, you can use magnetic strips but they’re kind of an eye sore.

Unable to register for warranty in Uk no plug adapter think it should be provided for the money you pay also to send the parcel back I’ve got to pay another £140 this is a disgrace that with the label the site has provided
