Q: How do you hook this system up?

Coax from Directv box to SWM. Coax from SWM to dish. Power to SWM via 120vDirectv TV dish pointed to coordinates from zip code in Directv box. The inexpensive digital sat meters will NOT work because of the 21v of power in the coax from the SWM. You can use a meter with a needle on the gauge. Trying to find a satellite without a meter is tough. Regardless of your location in the US, a good starting point is pointing the dish towards Texas. Good Luck!

Q: Will this work with any receiver? Im putting up my own and trying to figure it out

will work with most Directv receivers, depending on activation and package from directv. Note that D12 receivers will not function after 05/2019. At that time all SD transmissions from satellites with cease.

Q: Will this work with a hr22-100 receiver?

Yes it will work fine even with the Swm unit

Q: Will this dish with a model c61-500 directv receiver?

Hello, This will work with the genie units, it work with the c61-500, but you need to have the main unit, the genie, alone wont work. Thanks Dan
