Remote works just like the original. No programming involved. Just install the batteries and you're all set.

Preliminary functional testing indicates that this unit performs exactly as the original. I'd definitely recommend it.

I lost the rc-1240 remote for my 4700h system. At $60, that is a pretty expensive remote, and since I only need a physical remote in the living room, I figured what the heck - this should work fine and it does! It lacks zone3 button and maybe others that I can't tell because I never really used it beyond volume control and input selector. In my case it works perfectly because zone2 and zone3 are in other rooms so anyway I only use the phone app to control them.

It works great, only missing “Zone 3” I don’t use Zone 3 (or Zone 2), so it doesn’t matter. This works just as well as the original, and is very similar, though not identical. No complaints!

Added a 2nd remote for my Denon AVR-X4700H. Works well for most functions but doesn't have as many buttons as the original remote.

Very easy to setup.

I bought this for a friend who had trouble with the original one. He has a Denon receiver and some buttons on it were not working correctly. I bought this one and straight out of the box it worked, just buy some batteries and your good to go. It even works better then the old one which you had to point directly to the receiver to work.
