Makes difference before staining
This Wood conditioner really makes a big difference before staining. It helps the stain go on evenly and prevents that patchy, uneven look that often happens with bare wood. After applying it, the wood absorbs color much more consistently, giving a smoother and more professional finish. Especially on softer woods, it really improves the final result. Simple step, but it changes everything in the outcome.

Even staining.
In my experience this works way better than the Minwax one. After application it has provided even staining. Of course for both conditioning and staining do outside or in a extremely well ventilated area. I have found best results using a foam brush applicator for both this conditioner and stain. And use an old t-shirt to wipe off the stain.
