Super sturdy umbrella!! Stayed in the ground during a thunderstorm, nothing got blown away and we are talking crazy winds! Probably not 50 UV rated because the baby was under it the entire time and got a little red, plus you can kind of see through the flaps of material. I have a true 50+ personal sun umbrella and that one doesn't let any light through. But, it did keep the direct sun away and It was much cooler then if I was directly out in the sun. Looks super cute and is easy to find due to the bright colors. Super easy to put together and put away.

I think I bought this one because it was voted best by Forbes. I saw some negative reviews but, overall this seemed best for the money and sturdiness. BOY, AM I GLAD! Very light and easy to tote, as well. First, I've never used umbrellas on the beach, mostly because growing up in Florida I opted for less sand, more pool. So, deciding to spend a day on the beach and not be miserable, shade is where it's at! This umbrella provided plenty of shade for two people! I saw other smaller umbrellas and they all just looked pitiful and useless. So flimsy and cheap. Second, of course, I picked one of the more windy days at the beach, it was blowing around 9-11 mph in Cocoa Beach. There were so many people around me fighting with these little sand bag tie down sail shades! It was comedic. And those shades only provided maybe four square feet of shade! Then the other people with inferior umbrellas were having their umbrella ribs collapse under the strain or be turned inside out! I sat there and watched group after group finally give up and leave. All while I sat comfortably under my sturdy, wide, shade giving umbrella. The only other umbrellas that didn't move besides mine, were the paid ones offered by the beach service. Finally, the temperature difference under my umbrella was amazing! Coupled with the breeze, I was having a wonderful day! So many people came and went with just a towel. They couldn't handle the 97 degree Florida sunshine! I spent the whole day in comfort! Definitely recommend. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this one is a winner.
