Can the top be removed so i can pour in distilled water?

The alkaline water ionizer cannot use distilled water because it needs to work on the basis that the TDS of the source water is greater than 50~1200ppm. But the TDS of the distilled water is 0ppm

Does this machine need plumbing in?

Yes, there is a hose in our accessories, you need to cut it into two sections by yourself to connect the water inlet and outlet
