SafeRest Premium Zippered Mattress Encasement - Lab Tested B

My husband travels to New York City frequently. The past four years bed bugs have become common place there -- and many other metropolitan areas in the U.S. And as another reviewer stated: bed bugs do not discriminate, high-priced hotels are subjected to the same infestations as their low-priced counterparts. I am, as most likely you are, freaked out by the whole thing. Did he bring home bed bugs in his suitcase? I honestly don't know! My skin has broken out in hives possibly from anxiety. I went to town scrubbing, washing, sprinkling diatomaceous earth, etc. Naturally, we purchased mattress, box spring, and pillow case covers. We recently upgraded to a King size bed. The local Target, where I purchased all my other mattress covers, did not sell ones that would fit my Euro top mattress. The mattress shop wanted more than $100 for one mattress cover, and considering the fact that I would need to buy two (one for the mattress, another for the box spring) I chose to shop online. Though my mattress is technically only 15," I wanted to make certain there would be no fitting challenges, so I ordered the King Size SafeRest Waterproof Lab Certified Bed Bug Proof Zippered Mattress Encasement (Fits 15 - 18 in. H). This product exceeded my expectations! The top is a soft, cotton terry cloth, unlike any others I have used. The zipper covered nearly 3/4 of the mattress, unlike the others that typically cover a bit more than a 1/4. It was simple for two people to install it, took my husband and I less than five minutes. (I imagine one person could do it, it would just take longer a little more maneuvering.) There was, as to be expected, excess material (that can easily be draped and tucked under), so I imagine it truly would fit an 18" mattress. The cover does not create any noise when you move on the bed. While I'm not sure I need to be protected from bed bugs, I do have a senior kitty that now and again has digestive issues which I'm certain this cover will protect my mattress from. (Most mattress companies will not honor your warrantee if there are any visible stains on the mattress -- no matter how small or insignificant it is too the problem with the mattress.) As soon as I finish writing this review I am going to see if this company makes King size pillow protectors. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it without hesitation.

If your mattress is 15 inches, do not purchase this size. Purchase the 12 to 15 inch instead. This size will be way too big. It will slide off of your mattress, making it too noisy and uncomfortable.

The Bed Bugs Are Still Coming Through The Encasement , I Have NOT Slept On It , BUT I Did Go Lay On My Bed For About 5 or So Min.s & When I Sat Up I Seen The Bed Bugs & Their Nymphs Coming Out Where It Was Sewed Together , From The Top Part Of The Mattress To Where It Was Sewed To The Plastic !!! I Felt SICK To My Stomach & Started Crying & I just Grabbed My Walker & Left My ( my used to be bedroom ) I Just Recently Got Them On , Because It Took Me Forever To Find Someone To Help Me Put Them On , I Just Got Them On 2 wks. Ago , Plus Before I Put The SafeRest Encasement's On My Box Spring & My 2 Mattresses I Vacuumed All 3 Top & Bottoms Before & The Sides Of My Bed !!We Put Them On & I Also Cleaned The Box Spring Bed Frame Really Good & Put " Diatomaceous Earth " On The Frame & I Also Put The Frame Wheels Into The 2 Plastic Containers With a Paper Towels On The Outside & The DE On The Inside Plastic So The Wouldn't Be Able To Climb Out , Plus My Friend Pulled My Bed 3~4 Inches Away From The Wall , SO There Is Nothing Touching My Bed On All 4 Sides !!! I Really Feel Let Down Because I Had Checked Many Places Before I Came To The Amazon Site & I Read Everything About How It Was Lab Tested & a 10 Year Warranty On The SafeRest Encasement's & I Really Believed Them !!!! I Am Disabled & Only Get 733.00 a Month & It Really Hard To Scrap Together 300.00 To Put On a Gift Card , Because I Had To But 3 Encasement's & DE & 2 or 3 Bottles " Killer Green , All Natural Bed Bug Killer " & Then I Bought 4 More Bottles Of This From The Place That Makes It Because They Contacted Me Via E~Mail Offering Me 20% Off My Next Order & So I Did !!! I Feel Like I've Done Everything Right , BUT I'm Devastated & Feel So Let Down About The Encasement's Because What I Had Read About The SafeRest Bed Bug Bed Encasements Was , The Bed Bugs & Nymphs Weren't Supposed To Come Out Of These Encasements BUT They Were Coming Out Where They Were Sewed Together , Meaning The TOP Part To The PLASTIC !!! I Acutely Watched Them Come Through After I Had laid On My Bed For About 5 Mims or So , That's When I Sat Up On My Bed To See Where They Were Conning From & I Saw The Coming Out Where It Was Sewed Together ......... I Believe SafeRest Should Return My Money , Because It Said " 100% Satisfied or Your Money Back " If You Want I'll Shot Some Video Of Them Coming Out Of The Top Bed Encasement , To Prove I'm Not Laying To You , If You Want Me To !!! I'm Just So Sorry They Didn't Work , I Beloved They Would That's Why I Bought Them :-( :-( :-( :-( P.S. I Can't Go Through This Again Because Of My Knees Won't Work That's Why I Have a Walker & I Have Had 2 Surgery's On Both Of My Knee's ..... & I Recently Had a Bad Fall , I Fell Out Of Bed & Was Oh My Bedroom Floor For About 6 Hrs. Before I Could Make All The Way To The Phone To Call My Daughter To Help Me Up & While I Spent All Them Hours On My Bed Room Floor I DID NOT see Any Bed Bugs , It Wasn't Until I Had a Nurse & a Physical Therapist Come 3 Time Each a Wk. & They Always Sat Their Pouch & or Bag On The Arm Of My Couch Where My Cat Lay's & My Dog Always Laid On The Floor Right By My Couch & Then We Would Go To Bed & The Bed Bugs Caught a Ride On Them To My Bed Where I Slept & It a Was a Little Over a Month They Would Come To Help Me , Because When I Fell So Hard On My Knees My Daughter & Her friend MADE Me Go To The Hospital & They Drew 5 Tubes Of Blood & The Dr. Sais I Was Having Renal Failure & Had " Rabdomyolysis " " It Was a Breakdown of Muscle Tissue That Releases a Damaging Protein Into My Blood " Meaning My Kidneys Were Failing " I Had No Bed Bugs Until They Brought Them to Me , That's Why I Can't Under Stand How I Got So Many & Especially In My Bed , But I know They Were Riding On My Pets !! I JUST CAN"T BELIVE THAT SafeRest Didn't Do It's Job......... That's All I'm Trying To Say !! P.S.S. I'm So Sorry This Was So Long .... I Just Wanted To Explain My Situation ........
