Totally worth it.
I held off on this review for months because I wanted to put them through its paces. I started with Prang watercolour and then moved onto the professional DS, MGraham, W&N and the like. I have never used Cotman so I canโt compare. However. However ! these are beautiful. Transparent, capable of a range of values. Mix well. Work beautifully on cellulose or cotton paper. And not chalky! These are not white labeled . They are all mainly hues ( not single pigment, because you know student grade). Give them a try. I am glad I listened to frugalcrafter and bit the bullet. Oh and also I appreciate the tubes being small and plastic ( all of my tubes are metal so better for the environment) I prefer smaller tubes, as a hobbyist, and the plastic is easier to squeeze and then cut open to scrape all of the paint out. BEWARE: They stink. I squeezed them onto pans. They dried beautifully btw , no cracks. I am too lazy to pour and then stir paints, in spite of that - no cracks. Anyway back to stink. over time the stink has disappeared. Completely.

Loved it ๐
If your budget is around two hundred, this is the best option for watercolour you can choose for colouring. The colours are very bright and vibrant making it very good for beginners and also for artist ๐จ.

Cheap and good.
Saw a youtuber painting using only these watercolors. And using them like gouache. Decided on buying and I like them very much.

Very high pigment. Worth the price

Smelly but good quality with dubious light fastness.
I see these are pretty decent cheap but still high quality watercolor. I was able to put them into watercolor pans and they dried pretty nice. I don't see any cracking. They are also pretty vibrant with their color with most being transparent or semi-transparent. The color range you get is balanced pretty well. Somethings to think about: They have the color and light fastness information on the tube and the website but it seems like they're using the series one series two as aclassification but it's not exactly clear on what that means for life fastness. Also have no pigment information whatsoever so I'm not sure what pigments they're actually using. The last downside is that a few of the colors are very thick and have a very strong smell even after they have been dried and put into pans. They say they are not toxic but the smell is not to be messed with. If you are sensitive to smell I would not recommend these.
