It’s easy on my sensitive skin and I love the way it smells. I don’t take a shower every day nor do I use it every time I shower so I don’t consider it to be expensive. I think it’s priced fairly for an occasional indulgence. I’m tempted to try the matching body lotion. I’m also enjoying Chanel hair and body washes and Penhaligon hand and body washes. Both purchased direct from their respective websites. Edit to add: I gifted a bottle of this to a friend when it was on sale on Prime Day and they rave about it constantly. 🙌🏾

とにかく、香りが良い。 髪も体も洗えるなんて！と喜んで洗ってみたけど、洗い上がりの感じはイマイチ。泡立ちが少なくて髪は少しきしむ感じ。残り香？も長くは続かないかな。 なので仕事の合間のリフレッシュに手洗い用に大事に使っています。 とにかく大好きな香りなので、いろいろ差し引いても満点。

I first encountered this fragrance in France in the early 2000’s. I’ve bought it plenty of times since and am very familiar with it in its different concentrations. This is absolutely authentic and seems quite fresh. At half the retail price, I’m very glad to have found it here on Amazon. This cologne is one I usually wear in the summertime but think it would work all-season too, but more of a daytime fragrance when it’s not warm out. It’s really great smelling and not overly sweet or feminine, just classic and refined. Just an FYI, this concentration “eau de toilette” is the stronger of the two available. The other being “eau de cologne.” I add this info because I’ve had the nomenclature reversed in my mind for years and find this version to have a good bit more staying power than what I’ve bought in the past. Update 2021 December - On my second order of this product, I received something that looked and was packaged exactly as before but smelled totally different. Which is to say it had almost no smell at all! The fragrance was similar to the original D’orange Verte but was so diluted that only the top note of orange came through, and only for a few minutes, then it was gone. After spraying this for the first time, I actually grabbed a bottle of another cologne to smell because I feared I was losing my sense of smell to Covid! I had not lost my sense of smell, it was the product that was deficient. Subsequent to my last order here on Amazon, I ordered the same product directly from Hermes and found it exactly the same as what is sold here. Hermes must have changed their product!
