Purist® Valve trim with lever handle for transfer valve, requires valve

Used to divert water from main shower to handheld in our primary bath remodel. Looks great and high quality.

Of course, this is Kohler so I expected nothing less. My only complaint is that this finish is being discontinued so we had some issues finding the other valve trim to match, so if you are looking for brushed stainless you may be SOL. We have not installed it yet but I expect it will look amazing in our newly remodeled master bath,

While minimalist fixture styles don't make as much of a statement as the more decorative styles, they have a timeless look that pairs well with any other more flamboyant décor. This is a good example, with clean lines and heavy duty construction that are enough to set it apart from the many minimal trims from generic brands. It looks and feels high scale, though much of the "feel" comes from the valve. Speaking of the valve, I purchased one for use with this and found it particularly easy to integrate. I normally use Moen valves and the Kohler was, surprisingly, different. That typical plaster/protection cover that comes on valves is not flat, but includes a series of three depths to choose from. Whatever you choose, this trim kit comes with different lengths of adapters to accommodate. This trim kit is designed with transfer valves in mind, but is also compatible with some other Kohler valves such as the volume valve I purchased. One thing I immediately did not like about this finish is that it seems to show fingerprint smudges much more readily than the Moen black finishes. While I always give the trim a wipe with a towel after a shower anyway and it is a small thing, it is unfortunate. Overall, a very nice trim for a luxury shower.

This is a beautiful shower valve handle! Looks even better installed but I can’t wait to see it with my new tile.

Opened box to find mounting plate broke. Made of plastic. Very disappointing when paying up for stylish trim for a new shower and pieces come in broken in factory packaging

Kohler makes great products. When we installed this it had a slight leak. Called the company and they immediate sent replacement for the internal part which fixed the problem.

Be sure you are ordering the correct components. I ordered this and the wrong interior part. So, I had to return it. The piece is LOVELY and I'm sure would have been wonderful. However, I'm commenting so people are aware to be sure to order the correct parts with it. Check out Kohler's website, find your part, the correct components and then return to order them cheaper on Amazon.
