I had a problem that I think a lot of people run into — my son wanted to use his PS5 with a monitor that didn’t have built-in speakers. For audio, just plug a pair of speakers into the 3.5mm jack, and you’re good to go. Once connected, it worked perfectly. The sound came through instantly, there was no lag, and the picture quality stayed the same. I tucked the box away behind the desk, and now my son has a proper gaming station with both video and sound. It’s been running without any issues and feels like a neat, permanent solution. If you’ve got a console or device you want to hook up to a monitor without speakers, this is exactly what you need. Simple, affordable, and it just works. Highly recommended.

I bought this product to be able to plug an external sound system via jack 3,5 mm output on my new samsung Qled TV, i ve tried and I ve and seen tutos on it but it doesn t work. Money wasted.

This audio splitter is HDMI 2.0 and Apple TV 4K is HDMI 2.1 so this is not compatible with it. Not the products fault but some may not realize the difference.

This works with Fire TV stick, but not with Raspberry Pi ( running LibreELEC), or Windows 10 laptop. HDMI input from both those devices are not dectected and so no video nor audio output.

Solved my setup issue completely! My 2015 TV lacks an optical output and HDMI ARC, so connecting my Sony home theater via Bluetooth wasn’t delivering true 5.1 sound. I initially tried a cheaper (~₹900) extractor, but it started lagging, cutting, and distorting audio during movies. ​Switching to this Orei extractor made a huge difference. The build quality is solid and premium. After a couple of weeks of use, it runs smoothly without any audio lag or interference, delivering proper 5.1 / Dolby surround sound.
