Seems to be good, but time will tell!
Was looking to convert from a linux computer handling our serial to ethernet connections to device servers. I have a lantronix and a Moxa, but wanted to try out something less expensive. Setup was a little weird as there is no web interface, you have to download a configuration tool, to talk to the device. The link is a QR code on a card in the box. Default IP is 192.168.1.200 but you can change that once you are into the config tool. After I figured that out, I was able to make the correct configurations for each port. I am running our buildings HVAC system and access control system and it appears to work. I will update if it fails or if i have to reset it, because that would be a non-starter for me.One interesting thing to note is the specs say the device server support's POE of 802.3. Technically it does, but not 802.3af (normal POE), it operates off of passive POE, presumably to save cost. Took 1 star off for that, though it does list the POE pinout as pins 4\5 and 7\8 which is passive POE not 802.3af.UPDATE 2022-5-17 - I am using the RS-232 and RS-485 port and everything is still functioning.

Doesn't work, won't make connection as client nor accept connection as server
I purchased this to interface with my hvac system that uses rs485.But it is JUNK - This review will contain some technical details as if you are purchasing this I assume you know something about these type of devices.I'll start by saying the manual is printed in miniscule fonts and is a booklet that is 3"x2" and practically unreadable without a magnifying glass or microscope. Looking for the manual online is also a single page scan of the entire 18 page manual that you have to Zoom in on and 1/2 of it's not even in the online manual. This device DOES NOT HAVE A WEB CONFIGURATION FEATURE! You must configure it using a windows based exe. This does allow you to scan for it on your network and configure the ip which is about the only thing that is nice about it.After hooking it up and running the configuration program the device would not accept a connection as a tcp server no matter what port I tried. A Packet capture using Wireshark showed it just sends an RST packet on attempt to connect to the server port configured in the gui. nmap also verifies it is NOT LISTENING on the port.I also tried configuring it as a client and pointing it at a host running netcat listening for connections while running Wireshark it NEVER attempted to connect.I am returning this and cannot recommend this product. DO NOT BUY!!!

Only works with MS Windows
There is only one way to set up this converter, using a .exe installer.I use Mac & Linux. There was no support so I had to return it.

This device didn't work out of the box. The power light turns on but no ethernet lights.
