I have an old camcorder from 1996. The charger was broken but I found this cord and it worked!! I was so excited to watch our old movies again. Tip: at first it didn't work and I was so bummed I started putting the cord away I realized there's a button in the back to adjust the voltage. I checked the camera, then changed the button with the included tool, and it worked!! So exciting!

worked, as advertised :) -- big plus over other "universal" adapters is that the voltage is not going to change on you accidentally! very deliberate switching with a screwdriver was required
